Movie/Game Night

I suddenly realized on the way home that tomorrow is Friday. Are we up for movie night, either tomorrow night or Saturday night? Do we want to do season 4 or rewatch eps 1-5? (@Neb, @Morgan, would you be able to make it? I think you’re the ones who missed eps 1-5.)

I'll be here Friday evening, EST. For anything.

I guess we're doing it tonight, then! I suggest we decide then which set of episodes we're doing, based on who is and isn't here. (I have a feeling a lot of people won't show since I forgot about it till the eleventh hour, so it might be a good time to get caught up on those first season eps.)

Last week we got up through Trick or Treat, so our lineup for this week (same timeslot of Friday, 8 p.m. EDT unless there are objections) consists of:

• Retribution, Pts. 1-3
• Timing Is Everything
• Cupid Sandiego
• Can You Ever Go Home Again? Pts. 1&2

Then next week we can do the Netflix series. Since CyTube doesn't support any platform but YouTube, I will be looking for an alternative stream synchronizer type site, but we can always fall back on trying to click play at the same time.

So for next week with the Netflix show, we have two options:

Option 1: rabb.it
I can stream the episodes over rabb.it, but the site requires you to log in to watch. I have created a login everyone could use, so you wouldn't have to make an account, but would have to log in.
PRO: Synchronized stream.
CON: The annoying and possibly confusing extra step of logging in.

Option 2: nothing
We can all play the episodes ourselves.
PRO: No extra steps required.
CONS: We won't be perfectly synchronized, and it will be especially difficult to synchronize those of us with Netflix (thus skipping the intro and credits) with those of us using... other sources. And if someone doesn't have Netflix, they'll have to resort to those other sources.

Opinions?

I prefer option 1, because knowing we are watching it at exactly the same time is part of the fun. If it doesn't work, we can always fall back on 2.

I'd prefer option 1 as well. The synchronization will be worth any potential login.

Well, I have to say, I'm an,"If it ain't broke, don't fix it" type of girl.

I haven't tried logging into the actual movie chat on here yet, partly cuz I'm always a little late, partly cuz I'm not sure if it will work, and partly cuz I know I won't be able to watch, and keep up with the chat, anyway.

But, I've always been able to watch the videos with no problem.
