Intro Part 2: Quid Pro Quo

Ivy paced down the riveted steel floors of the Hong Kong Police Department's detainment facility. The hall was lit, one pulse at a time by iron glazed pendant lights that hung from an exposed ceiling. She wore only dark grey, a tank top covered by a one button blazer and stove-cut pants. All...

    Intro Part 1: Hong Kong

((First written in 2011 or 2012)) For Ivy Monaghan, there was nothing more refreshing than waking up to the harbor sunrise. Her apartment was small, meant to be inhabited by only one person, and with standard furnishings that could best be described as plain and unimaginative. But she could...

    Co-Written International Relations [Ivy/Chase]

Posting a lost co-written journal... This entry took place some time after Paradigm Shift, in November 2012. Major conversations came from a saved chat log (Neutral Grounds), and action scenes were edited by a secret Israeli assassin. South San Francisco - 13:32 hrs. Radio static broke into...

    Co-Written Friending

[Featuring Ivy and Chase in an edited live chat session.] Friending Accolade's external blue tinted windows were constructed of several layers of glass, air, microscopic metallic film, and silicone-based elastomer. Any light that came directly from outside passed through enough particles to...

I saw this story about severely underpaid animators yesterday and it makes me very sad: https://twitter.com/NegiKitsu/status/1175197791649509376 Someone in the replies cast doubt on it actually being Carmen, but I'm not prepared to dismiss it.

I hear you. I've been a fan for a LONG time. Where in the USA is Carmen Sandiego? was the first video game I remember playing. The reboot reignited my love for Carmen and ultimately led me here, as I'm sure it did with others around the same time, but my favorite thing about this site other than the people is that it's NOT about the reboot. I enjoy the new show for the sake of entertainment and nostalgia, but it's not the best thing to ever come out of the franchise. Far from it. I'm glad that the Carmen fans, new and old, are coming out and coming together.))

Once the dust from the reboot has settled, I hope we are all still here, tarrying on in our adventures born of the fandom and grown and refined by our imaginations. I hope the new fans that come from the reboot - particularly the ones that find their way here - will remember where the fandom came from and celebrate la notre dame rouge as she deserves to be celebrated. Thank you for coming to my TED talk. Carry on.))
