    Co-Written Planning Committee

(co-written with @Carmen and @Acton Roux ) The following events happen 1 month after the events of Ultramarine. ‘I’m late! I’m late! For a very important date!’ Flanked by his favourite feline, Joseph Kerr strode briskly through the network of tunnels beneath Stone Harbor. In lieu of his...

    A Siberian Lesson

Something enlightening happened to me along the tracks of the Trans-Siberian. Awaiting departure from Sverdlovsk station, I was in my seat, reading an English-translated copy of 'Crime and Punishment'. Gratifyingly, I discovered the 1938 edition inside a used bookshop in Yekaterinburg. I was...

Canon Tête de Femme [Part 4]

[Previously...] 9:08 AM Somewhere between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Chase woke at 6:00 AM and immediately read the previous day’s reports. He reviewed the news, checked messages from international contacts, and completed a 2-hour morning routine. A double shot of espresso later, he...

Canon Tête de Femme [Part 3]

[Previous Chapter] A month later, perhaps two… Buenos Aires, Argentina Slums littered this city, but most of Argentina’s wealthy lived like kings. The hacienda sprawled along a cliff-side beach complete with a Venetian glass mosaic pool, a hedge maze, statue-lined fountains and other such...

Canon Tête de Femme [Part 2]

[Previously...] Later… [Still at] Tarragon, St. Paul’s Bay, Malta For the rest of the meal, she was quiet. The food came and went, and both of them declined dessert. Chase because he didn’t like them and his guest, well, because she wasn’t feeling it. He was terrible with smalltalk, so he...

Canon Tête de Femme [Part 1]

[Co-written and edited to Chase’s point of view.] Some time, now or never… Tarragon, St. Paul’s Bay, Malta Chase Devineaux took a flight from San Francisco to Milan, a train to Naples, a car to Salerno and then boarded a boat to St. Paul’s Bay in Malta. Granted, he took the long route, but he...

@Lucy What headphones do you have that need charging? Mine are the Audeze Mobius, you can look them up... basically a pair of headphone-sized Martin Logans.

Okay, have a post close to ready, just have to write a court room scene, and some kind of wrap-up and it'll be ready. Anyone have any tips for writing a court room scene?

((IRL: So, the heat to my floor (2nd. floor of house, whole house is boiler heat) stopped working at around 3:30AM on the 4th... it's already down to 52F across my whole floor... meanwhile, my bosses floor (ground floor) the heat is working fine. My thermostat is sending the signal to open the valve, so no idea why it would stop working in the middle of the night all of a sudden like that... normally, it's over 70F up here. To try and keep it warmish up here, I'm going to fire up FurMark on all three laptops... I'd just run my oven all night, but gas stove and no return air vent for the heater might end bad.))

((IRL: Got it working, stupidist fix ever... unplugged the two two-wire plugs going to the valve, and somehow, that fixed the issue. Right away, heard water moving through the pipe and within a couple hours, the temps were climbing on my floor of the house! Victory!! It was back up to 70F after only a few hours, and it's cycling like it should... and I think I found the issue... the automated valve is loose enough that when it moves, it twists itself about half an inch either way... gonna have to take a look at that because that's what worked the wires loose, I'm willing to bet.))
