"We can take back and have someone take a look at it. It looks like the heat wasn't the kindest to the message in this bottle." Jason said as he made his way back to the car.

Kristine fallowed him, though she was still a bit wet, and asked for a towel to dry off with. The message intrigued her greatly, though she hoped it would still be readable. It was odd to find it, though she wondered how old it really was. The shell that was found was still intact, and she carefully tucked it away in the car.

"Lets start by taking it to my office to scan it into the computer and see if we can find a program to decipher it. I'm sure that once we have it scanned in, it will be easier to find out what it says." Jason replied as hit pushed the button on the elevator.

Kristine joined West in the elevator and slowly rode of to the office. Once inside West scanned it into the computer, as Kristine admired the way the office was decorated. Waiting for the computer Kristine decided to move to the windows, outside the sun was moving towards late afternoon. Today had been a most grand day, and she was jotting down future trip ideas. There was so much to see in this city alone, and she wondered what the rest of the world was like.

Jason finished scanning the document into his computer and began trying to decipher it. As the program worked its way through languages and characters, Jason stepped over to the window in his office that overlooked the Bay. He began to wonder what the document could say.

The program was finally finished, and soon printed out the letter fully translated.

"Hey said Kristine it seems to be a letter addressed to someone." She said excitedly.

The letter reads as fallows.

Dear Catherine

I don't know if this will ever reach you, but I wanted to at least give you one last message my love. Our ship is slowly sinking, and I don't know if we shall make it to the bay in time. I pray that we shall find ourselves safely at harbor soon, if not know that I have never stopped loving you. Tonight there is no moon, and fog is moving in quickly. The wind is howling a but around the boat, as I sit in my cabin. I am thinking of you as I write this...................

A part of the letter is too deteriorated to be translated, but the rest slowly is translated.

Please know that I never shall forget you.....Cath........ I.....love you...

Your......one......and true......Lo.......

Andrew.

After reading the translated note, Jason realized that it didn't need to be translated at all but just needed to be enhanced. Once he finished reading it, Jason began to wonder what ever happened to the person that wrote this letter.

Jason picked up a kit from under his desk and began to dust the note for fingerprints to see if he can find anything more about the note's author. Once the dust had adhered itself to the fingerprints on the paper, Jason used some tape to lift the dust and fingerprints from the paper and placed it on a card. He quickly scanned the lifted prints into his computer and began the search. There was no telling how long the note had been in the bottle and how long the bottle had been in the water so Jason hoped the fingerprint search would turn up something.

"Is there anyway to search shipwrecks in the area? or news of them." Inquired Kristine. "From the looks of it, this was a letter written in haste, and is there a way to analyze the ink as well to determine it's age?"

There are a few different things we can do to see about that but lets see if the fingerprint search turns up anything first.

A few minutes later, Jason's computer beeped and he quickly stepped over to see what the results of the fingerprint search were.

"According to this, we have a match in the database on the fingerprints. That means that he either was in the military or has a criminal record of some sort."

Jason clicked to view who the author of the note had been. His computer decided that it was going to take its time to display the results.

"I'm gonna grab a drink while we wait for this. Would you like anything?" Jason said to Kristine.

one of the GOOD spiders you want around because they eat all the really bad bugs in the house. We put them outside :)

@Lucy ... don't know if you really want wolf spiders in your home... I'd go for jumping spiders, they can't bite... wolf spiders are the fast movers, and they can bite.

((Will lose my ACP internet towards the end of the month, unless anyone knows about it ending sooner. Trying to switch my Lifeline phone to a better provider that doesn't shut me off after four and a half gigs of data, nothing but failure so far and "call here" and "it's on their end" and the back and forth crap... in the morning, it's time to demand the supervisor and might even get to harsh language (after three days of that). I plan to use the Lifeline phone tethered as Internet source, share that to my own router... I've done it before (it's messy, and not 100% effective, but it works). ))

((The 'net is the main way to apply for jobs now, so I need that, and I've moved/changed Lifeline providers before without an issue, so no idea what the problem is. I have active Verizon through ACP, active Lifeline through Airtalk... is that somehow the issue? If anyone knows, please let me know before I tear someone a new one (ya know what I mean). After three days of this, and two days about a month ago, I'm ready to walk there with katana in hand.))
