A day with agent West.

[Invader]

"I would love a bottle of, spicy ginger beer soda if there is any left." She replied.
Inwardly this was rather exciting, and there was so much research to do. That day on the beach was well worth it, and solving this current mystery would be a challenge.

 

[Jason West]

Jason stepped out for minute to get a bottle of spicy ginger beer soda for Kristine and a bottle of Dr. Pepper for himself before heading back to his office.

"Here you go." Jason said as he stepped back into his office. "Lets see what its says if anything yet."

After looking at the screen, Jason could see that the results weren't displayed yet and then made his way back to the window. The people on the street below looked like ants and Jason enjoyed watching them as they scurried about on their daily lives.

 

[Invader]

"Thanks." Said Kristine with a small smile. "Ginger beer is like drinking liquid fire, but I like it. "

Kristine continued to look around the office admiring things, but careful not to disturb anything. Being off world always seemed to turn around for her, no matter how bad it started. Still she longed to be back home if only for a short while. At the moment her thoughts were disrupted, by the ping of the computer.

"Hey the results are in, it appears this one had a military record." She said excitedly. "I wonder what this will lead to."

 

[Jason West]

Hearing the excitement in Kristine's voice, Jason stepped over to the laptop and began keying in access codes to allow him to view the service records of the man who had written the note in the bottle.

"The good news is that if he's in this database, it means he's not more than 60 years old. They started inputting the military service records after the Vietnam War."

 

[Invader]

"Hey I found him." Said Kristine. "Seems he had served in Vietnam,though I wonder if he has any surviving family members."

 

[Jason West]

"Lets see if there is a death certificate on file first before we start looking for family members."

 

[Invader]

Looking through the data base, the two of them came across a file that read MIA.

 

[Jason West]

Jason quickly accesses the file and begins to read the details of the cases.

 

[Invader]

"So what happened to them?" Asked Kristine. "Can you tell me what MIA means, and is that important?"

She was starting to get a sense of unpleasantness, but did not show any outward signs.

 

[Jason West]

"MIA means Missing In Action. This says that his ship sank about a year ago and he hasn't been since. They think he might have swam to a nearby island but have been unable to locate him. He's the only missing crew member."

 

[Invader]

"So where do we go from here?" Asked Kristine. "Is there anything else to go on?"

 

[Jason West]

"There are some last known coordinates where the ship went down as well as the coordinates to the island he is believed to have swam to. We could go and see if we can get a helicopter or boat to take us out to these places."
