The day was becoming a great one, it was neither to hot nor cold, however it was a bit quiet. Kristine was outside wandering about the gardens at ACME headquarters, she loved working in them the most. Over the past few weeks, she had been tending to them, and bringing parts of them back to life. Wherever she worked, the plants seemed to flourish. Tough right now she was just admiring her work, when agent West just happened to be walking nearby. Spotting him, Kristine trotted over, hoping to catch him.

"Hey Mr.West how is the day going?" She called.

"Hey Kristine. Its going pretty well. I was just out to get some lunch and figured the gardens would be a nice place to eat it. How's your day going?" Jason replied.

"Doing good" She replied happily. "I was wondering could I go on a tour of the city?" "There have been so many places, I have been wondering about."

With that she sat down at a table, that was made of carved wood, and opened the umbrella to give West some shade. The umbrella was a dark blue with silver stars on it.

"What places did you have in mind?" Jason asked as he took a bite of his sandwich.

Jason had the afternoon free and was just sticking around in case something happened and thought a little tour of the city would be a nice change of pace.

" I was thinking about some of the local parks, and museums, for a start." She replied. "I would really like know more of this world, and its people, perhaps we might even have time to go to the beach."

Kristine pulled out a bag of trail mix from her bag, and proceeded to munch on it.

"Would you like some, one of the other agents gave me a bag or two." Kristine offered.

"No thank you. I have the rest of my lunch to finish. Once I finish that, I'll gladly show you some of the city. There is a lot to learn here in the city. I'm not sure it can all be seen in one afternoon but I can do my best to show you as much of it as I can."

Jason did his best to finish his lunch as quickly as possible without choking on it.

"Are you ready to go?" Jason asked as he stood up from the table.

"Yes, I am ready." She replied. "Just lead the way."

With that she got up, and fallowed West to the parking areas of headquarters. Along the way she got checked out by a few bees, and one even landed on her for a bit. Kristine was rather excited, and wondered what the trip would have in store.

Jason unlocked his Audi using the remote in his shorts pocket and opened the door for Kristine before getting in the driver's seat. Once he was seated and Kristine had put her seat belt on, he started the car and eased out of his parking spot and began to make his way to a local park. Jason made sure to point out local landmarks along the way so that Kristine would be able to find the park by herself later should she choose to.

Looking out the window was amazing, and some of the landmarks gave her future ideas for day trips. This was a huge city, and reminded her of some of them in her home world. There was so much to see, and she never spoke a word, being to enthralled with the scenery. The trip was a rather short one, and she was full of excitement.

Jason pulled into a parking space and turned the car off. He made his way around the car and opened the door for Kristine so that she could explore the park. Jason had visited this park a few times with Derrin and always enjoyed seeing the view of the Bay from here.

"What park is this one?" Inquired Kristine. "This has a lovely view though."

Overlooking the bay was wonderful, everything smelled different, and gave her some peace.

"It's actually called Fort Point. It used to be an old military fortress. This was all the property surrounding the fort. You can actually see it over there." Jason said as he pointed to his left.

((So... this is the place.. 512 1/2 W Saint Germain St #1, St. Cloud, MN 56301 2 Bedroom Apartment for $650/month - Zumper. You have to go through both bedrooms to get to the bathroom. Moving stuff in is gonna be a struggle (wall outside main door is like a 60-degree angle)... big desk (mine), big entertainment center (the folks), "things" are gonna be weird (no privacy). The folks want it (gas stove in an apartment, claw-foot bathtub)... not all of our stuff comes apart nicely))

((IRL: @Lucy2... You may have to just start a new account (if the system lets you)... we don't know who all has admin access, so 'password recover emails' might not get seen or dealt with. If you do, I'd suggest a new account, and a series of posts linking to the old account. Keep in mind, we're in Minnesota, so cold is a thing... if you wanna trade, we're open to place tickets! We can't really do anything until we hear from the appeal guy... anytime between the 19th and December 5th, so in theory move-out could be end of December (unless it gets here before the end of this month) or maybe they can stay... no idea. So, the other place door... that's what we'd have to fit everything through.))

((So... the latest is that the woman who reported the folks to the police, called the guy who handled the appeal (after we left the room) and told him that if he doesn't make sure to get the folks out of the building, she'd make things difficult for him. The property manager told ma a few days ago, and ma told me today. So, anyone know what that would be called? Coercing, bribery, influence peddling? Would that invalidate the eviction? This is Section 8 housing, so low-income housing. The appeal decision should in theory get here next week or maybe Friday, and they can appeal again, maybe this one would be in real court... don't know. I will advise the folks contact legal aid and see what they say.))

((Correction: the parents are caving, they are planning for the move ON January 1st, without waiting to hear what the appeal decision is, and not willing to fight it. I stormed out of their place tonight (punched the call button for the elevator... they may have heard it), because I know they could win the second appeal hands down (they don't want "more of the stress from all this", they would discuss shit when I went to the bathroom tonight). I reminded them they may not get the entertainment center through the door to the apartment, we probably will have to take the claw legs off the table for the first time ever, but they have their heart set on it. ))

They're set on a two bedroom apartment ($154 more than the current, at least), it's up to me if I want to move, they said. Once we leave this place (section 8/low-income housing, the waiting list is over 2 years), that's it... the building manager retires later 2025... she pulled a string to get me in here))

Did you know.....The original candy canes were straight sugar sticks that were often used to decorate Christmas trees. The first historical reference to the cane shape was in 1670, when the choirmaster at Cologne Cathedral in Germany bent the sugar sticks into the shape of a shepherd's staff. Candy canes remained white until the early 20th century when red stripes and peppermint flavor became popular.
