Update on the Netflix Carmen show!

They've FINALLY announced the release date for season 2... and it's in less than a month! October 1.

Ten episodes in season 2, with the phantom twentieth episode as originally ordered to be an "interactive episode" coming later. So that could be either fantastic or horrible or anywhere in between.

I remember we had a chat early on about the series launching first in the 'experimental limbo month' of January, with the 'next season' launch schedule most likely in October due to merchandising... you know, the Carmen Sandiego Halloween costumes...

So, welcome to the merchandising phase.

They did an interactive Black Mirror episode a while back. It's basically a Choose Your Own Adventure-style episode. Gimmicky, but ultimately harmless I think.

I hope there'll be new characters reboot from the characters of each game show,computer games and of course from WOEICS?

To be honest, I'd be surprised if we get more than one new character at this point (not counting minor characters like the doctor in the fish episode). Ten half-hour episodes is SHORT, and they have a lot to develop with the characters they have now. I really don't understand why they're ordering/releasing so little at a time.

Bad news everybody,the Netflix version of Carmen Sandiego just got the beat by When You Wish Upon a Pickle: A Sesame Street Special...for this year's Emmy for Outstanding Children's program.

But the good news is the show won for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for the episode: The Chasing Paper Caper by a background painter named Elaine Lee among others by a jury...I'm not kidding check it out at emmys.com.
