It's an entirely different universe than the PBS gameshow. Carmen doesn't seem to know anybody from the gameshow in this one. Zach and Ivy seem to be her help. It's a different/alternate reality that people are still getting used to. It had its good points and bad points like everything else or there.

The Question is Would the Netflix Version of Carmen Sandiego win an Emmy since WOEICS? won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Children's Program? Find out on September 14 the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards not the ceremonial one (which is on September 22) and I can't find out where to watch but might find out on wikipedia soon.

They've FINALLY announced the release date for season 2... and it's in less than a month! October 1.

Ten episodes in season 2, with the phantom twentieth episode as originally ordered to be an "interactive episode" coming later. So that could be either fantastic or horrible or anywhere in between.
