Lucy was born to a widowed woman named Arista Sanchez, a former ACME agent who left after the tragic loss of her husband also at ACME. From an early age the girl proved she could easily escape her mom, even when adults thought they were watching her well. They moved around a lot because of her mom’s job.

She can be inquisitive but shy. Books about history, geography and fantasy are her favorites but she loves a wide array of subjects. Seeing things differently has helped her in certain situations and seems to get those around her to think from angles they didn't think of, which never ceases to surprise her mother.

When she turned 14 she joined ACME as a junior detective. She quickly became good friends with Julie Justice, who gives advice and helps her. They transferred from the same branch, so her training could continue. Animals make her feel more comfortable than people. Luna, her tuxedo cat was in need of a home, so Lucy fostered her. Luna as well as her friend Julie, help her to have the confidence to approach others.

She doesn't have a single favorite book but it would have something to do with travel, so things like National Geographic because of her love of animals, plants and new places.

Did Lucy ever have experiences in her childhood that changed her in a negative way? I'd like to hear about them in the form of a story, third or first person.

@Patty

The babysitter closed the door and looked at the little girl before her. She knelt before Lucy and in a cheerful tone said “Hey Lucy, remember me? I’m Brandy. I heard you like Lego's” the child shyly held her teddy bear close. The teddy bear had only one eye, stuffing was coming out of its stomach, and its face was faded. At the word Legos the child perked up, and a nod with a smile appeared. They held hands as they went down the stairs to the playroom. Laughter and songs ensued awhile, before they both settled down on the couch to watch cartoons.

Suddenly there was a sound upstairs. it got quiet and then the sound happened again. Footsteps upstairs! Lucy burst into tears as Brandy sat upright from the noise. The footsteps got heavier and came from all over. Then they started down the stairs, everything happened so fast. Brandy snatched Lucy up, who was hysterical at this point and ran out the back door.

“Lucy honey it’s okay. I promise I have you. You’re safe”

But Lucy was inconsolable. “MOMMY!” she called as Brandy ran to the side of the house. The babysitter hugged the little girl letting her cry against her chest. Lucy’s heart pounded, she was becoming sweaty and was shaking uncontrollably. “I’ll protect you. Nothing’s going to happen to you” The footsteps were louder now.

Brandy jumped the small fence to the neighbor’s yard, stopped to listen a moment and then proceeded to knock on the door. The neighbor’s allowed Brandy to use the phone, cops were called and soon arrived. The perp was caught. Lucy was still hysterical when her mother arrived, and it even took awhile for her to calm her daughter.

This brought about her severe anxiety, which she still has today but this also made her want to do what her parents did and protect people when she got older.

She likes music from all cultures but her favorite would probably be Country. Sarah Evans and Brad Paisley are her favorite, although she does her best to hide the fact that she likes country. (I forgot to add them in the music list on another thread.) Lucy mostly listens to these two in order to ease her pain and anxiety.

    I just heard on the news they're going to have to remove the Sakura trees in Washington because of damage to a sea wall. They have to build a sea wall and replant new trees.

    Okay wait. Only 158 of the 2,500 have to be taken down. They are also taking clippings from the cut down trees to propagate new ones

    @Lucy ... don't know if you really want wolf spiders in your home... I'd go for jumping spiders, they can't bite... wolf spiders are the fast movers, and they can bite.

    ((Will lose my ACP internet towards the end of the month, unless anyone knows about it ending sooner. Trying to switch my Lifeline phone to a better provider that doesn't shut me off after four and a half gigs of data, nothing but failure so far and "call here" and "it's on their end" and the back and forth crap... in the morning, it's time to demand the supervisor and might even get to harsh language (after three days of that). I plan to use the Lifeline phone tethered as Internet source, share that to my own router... I've done it before (it's messy, and not 100% effective, but it works). ))

    ((The 'net is the main way to apply for jobs now, so I need that, and I've moved/changed Lifeline providers before without an issue, so no idea what the problem is. I have active Verizon through ACP, active Lifeline through Airtalk... is that somehow the issue? If anyone knows, please let me know before I tear someone a new one (ya know what I mean). After three days of this, and two days about a month ago, I'm ready to walk there with katana in hand.))
