Is there any decision or action you've made in the past that you would do differently now in hindsight?

Hmm, I've always tried really hard to be nice to people, and people have been nice to me! I wish Carmen had found me sooner so I could be with all of my VILE friends, but I got here in the end, so no, I don't really have any regrets.

When or why did Hyde develop? Most people have some sort of trauma or event that triggers a split personality, was Jacqueline's unconscious development of Hyde linked to psychological stress? And if so, which event?

Three years ago - i.e., a year before she met Carmen and joined VILE - Jacqueline was in a car accident. Although she survived and was physically unharmed in the long run, the experience, including the days she spent recovering in the hospital, was highly traumatic for her. Hyde developed from the psychological strain caused by her lack of control and the fear it caused her. She is in essence a manifestation of Jacqueline's id, trying to exact revenge on the universe for her lack of control in and after the accident by causing tumult for others.

I'm not very fond of bugs or mice. I can never bring myself to kill them, though. It's so mean!

That's a nice way of saying "I'm too weak!"

My fifth-grade teacher, Sister Mary Patrick, told us that all animals are God's creatures... but mice and bugs are a little too creepy for me.

About ten minutes. However, it's not unusual for the two to switch back and forth repeatedly for only a few seconds each.

The thing with VILE agents is they can never seem to get it together enough to record a video of Hyde. Inevitably someone will photobomb or misunderstand how to work the camera, and by the time they’ve figured it out, Hyde has disappeared. Kind of like the Reba episode where Cheyenne stops snoring every time Van tries to record it. (Now how's that for an obscure reference?)

Someday they’ll manage to record her, but until then Jacqueline refuses to believe she has this alternate personality people tell her about.

I grew up in the 70s, and ABBA was really popular among my friends. Take a Chance on Me is my favorite because it's so cute.
