Jacqueline takes at least a half hour - her elaborate braid alone is a trial! Hyde has been known to appear when she gets particularly frustrated, which is a hindrance in and of itself since it takes up precious seconds. It's not like Hyde is going to do anything other than rant at the mirror, so there's time lost that could have gone to hair and makeup.
I hope (for Jacqueline's sake) that they do eventually integrate, actually. I think the part of Hyde that Jacqueline needs most is her focus on herself. While Jacqueline has no problem acting independently, she often acts for the sake of others rather than herself, and though selflessness is admirable, when combined with her highly loyal streak it makes her an easy person for others to use.
She's needed quite a bit of help from her VILE colleagues. Luckily for her, they're used to working with people much further outside their times. 45 years or so is a much shorter leap than, say, 400, so while she's needed to get caught up on technological advancements and changes in culture, those are more on the scale of "MP3s instead of 8-tracks" than "indoor plumbing and electricity." She sometimes forgets one cultural shift or another and says something strange as a result, but given that she's a VILE villain, strange is expected, really.
