Just a attempted sonnet inspired by the lady in red.
Crimson butterfly
Oh lady born of air and fire, whom all the world desires.
A thousand hands, seek your capture.
You slip though them all with crystal laughter.
Happily singing in the face of disaster.
Your life full, of both sorrow and mirth.
All the treasures of the world, could not prove your worth.
A touch of grace, accompanied by a keen smirk.
Delighted, to be chased to the ends of the earth.
Though you hold us, in your sway.
Oh my lady, wont you stay?
Just for a moment, much less a day.
A part of eternity is all I ask.
Will you permit me such a small task?
Oh but what am I compared to you?
A mere glance is all that will do.
I send this poem to lighten your heart.
Though I knew not where to start.
I pray these simple words will do.
Hoping they will bring cheer to you.
If they doth bring you a smile.
It was worth writing all the while.
