No ink or piercings, but I've managed to accumulate a patchwork of scars. Mostly cuts, but there are some remnants of burns mixed in for flavor. In no particular order...

Multiple long straight scars extending the length of each upper leg; a diagonal gash on the outside right ankle; a network of scar and burn tissue across my front torso extending to my lower neck, favoring my left side somewhat; one lone scar across the top of my right hand; and to top it off, a surgical scar on the front of my left shoulder, where said joint was replaced.

The only real scar I have is one on my hip, caused from falling off a rooftop in Paris during my detective days. It's about two inches long and less than 1/4 inch wide, right along the pelvis bone and appears as a lighter color than the rest of my skin. There are a few random marks from martial arts training, but all have healed well.

Aside from that I do have some freckles, though I don't freckle easily. If I spend all day in the sun, there may be a few on my shoulders and on the bridge of my nose.

I don't have any real tattoos - although I do have a collection of fake ones that I may don for a disguise.
As a professional thief, unique identification marks like tattoos tend to draw too much attention for my taste. I prefer to be able to hide and blend in with a crowd when I'm out of costume. I can't risk someone finding out who I am due to a tattoo.

The same goes for scars although usually you don't get a choice as far as scars go.
I have only two scars on me and both are usually hidden.
One scar is from when I had my appendix removed, and the other is on my right arm. The latter came courtesy of an incident back in Russia; an incident of which I prefer not to talk about for various reasons.

Ephelides. My skin freckles rather readily and so, I am prodigiously vigilant about wearing sunscreen--even indoors--and limiting my exposure to the sun. However, I do love being out in the sunshine and have always had light freckling all over my face and most of my arms and upper torso.

Annually, I see a dermatologist in Geneva. He has looked after my skin since my adolescent years and I remain quite hesitant to leave his purview.

. . .

I used to have an assortment of small scars on my right leg, the remnant of reconstructive surgery after having shattered my right tibia, fibula, and talus in an aviation accident, but they have since been removed by time and scar revision procedures.

. . .

Apart from the above, I have neither tattoos nor strange markings to speak of (natural or otherwise). The piercing I have is mundane--a pair on my ears, for jewellery.

The most prominent scar I have lies above my right eyebrow from clay pigeon debris, which I usually cover with my hair or a few dabs of makeup, depending on the day.

As for tattoos, I have my namesake gun in a garter on my right thigh, a coral snake wrapped around my left ankle, and my mom and dad's badge numbers on my left upper rib cage.

I have no tattoos or piercings, aside from ears. Near my right shoulder, I have a birthmark surrounded by 22 freckles that resembles an atomic diagram for titanium.

Although they eventually fade, I tend to have seam abrasions from wearing hazmat suits. Also, I have a few marks on my fingers from my X-acto soldering iron.

  • A celtic knot cross framed by a white and a black wing across the top of my back
  • An Irish flag colored shamrock surrounded by the phrase "What does not kill me, makes me stronger" in Gaelic on my right bicep
I also have a ragged scar on the inside of my left wrist

I don't have any scars, but I do have enough ink to make up for the ones that don't. I have 2 sleeves of tattoos. The right sleeve is a bio-mechanical sleeve which has lots brightly colored tubes and parts. My left sleeve is a tribal wrap with a lot of black ink.

I have many scars. Most are on the forearms and hands from working in the orange orchard and some other jobs. I also have a light one on the bridge of my nose from falling off a tree. The most interesting is a smooth straight line under my left rib cage that I get from sword fight.

When I was little bit young I had few tattoos. My paratrooper battalion slogan, my mispar ishi [military ID] and also the name of a pretty girl. I had to get all removed before undercover operations. I think I will get the slogan again now... but not the girl's name.

For scars there is a small lighter skin color line on my bottom lip. It was there since I split my lip during the same accident where I broke my leg. It's easily covered by lipstick.

I also always wanted a tattoo, but I don't like needles so have never gone through with it.

((So... the latest is that the woman who reported the folks to the police, called the guy who handled the appeal (after we left the room) and told him that if he doesn't make sure to get the folks out of the building, she'd make things difficult for him. The property manager told ma a few days ago, and ma told me today. So, anyone know what that would be called? Coercing, bribery, influence peddling? Would that invalidate the eviction? This is Section 8 housing, so low-income housing. The appeal decision should in theory get here next week or maybe Friday, and they can appeal again, maybe this one would be in real court... don't know. I will advise the folks contact legal aid and see what they say.))

((Correction: the parents are caving, they are planning for the move ON January 1st, without waiting to hear what the appeal decision is, and not willing to fight it. I stormed out of their place tonight (punched the call button for the elevator... they may have heard it), because I know they could win the second appeal hands down (they don't want "more of the stress from all this", they would discuss shit when I went to the bathroom tonight). I reminded them they may not get the entertainment center through the door to the apartment, we probably will have to take the claw legs off the table for the first time ever, but they have their heart set on it. ))

They're set on a two bedroom apartment ($154 more than the current, at least), it's up to me if I want to move, they said. Once we leave this place (section 8/low-income housing, the waiting list is over 2 years), that's it... the building manager retires later 2025... she pulled a string to get me in here))

Did you know.....The original candy canes were straight sugar sticks that were often used to decorate Christmas trees. The first historical reference to the cane shape was in 1670, when the choirmaster at Cologne Cathedral in Germany bent the sugar sticks into the shape of a shepherd's staff. Candy canes remained white until the early 20th century when red stripes and peppermint flavor became popular.
