West of me, they're having a lot of problems with the snow and potentially collapsing homes. Most of the at risk homes and such have been evacuated.
I heard they're also supposed to be getting 4 inches of rain on top of the snow. Hopefully that doesn't turn into snow as well. Its a 1:11 ratio of rain to snow so 1 inch of rain equals 11 inches of snow.

I know to the east of us in my state roofs have collapsed, we did get enough snow where I was to warrant leaving work early. We only got a few inches, but it was very slick and there were several accidents in the area.

Hello Everyone.

In the part of Northeast Ohio where I'm from, we are close enough to Lake Erie that we are affected by "lake affect" snow, meaning that the temperature of the lake is a few degrees warmer than the cold weather front moving over the lake. (I'm sure @Jason West also understands this, being from Detroit.) For about a week or so, we had fairly heavy snowfall for the month of November. But Ohio didn't get nearly as much as the people in Buffalo, NY, did!! As I check the weather in my part of Ohio today, most of the snow has melted, but there are still "high winds" which still makes it cold outside. I actually like snow, but I hope we don't get too much between now and Thanksgiving, because I do want to go home for the holiday, and even though we only live a few miles from most of out relatives, snow does make things a lot harder sometimes!! Even people who have lived in Ohio all their lives can have trouble out on those roads and it can be very dangerous!! :( But as of right now, everything is OK!! :)

@Julie Justice Let me let you in on a couple secrets...

OOC
1) I'm not really from Detroit. Thats just an IC detail.
2) I'm really from NY so I do understand the whole "lake effect" snow having lived near Buffalo, NY for a few years.

End OOC

Hello Jason.

Oh, OK. That's good to know. Yeah, either way, you know what I mean. I a lot of the recent snowfall in Buffalo NY, has melted. I hope it doesn't lead to too much flooding though. :/

Thankfully we never lost power but we couldn't go anywhere for 3 days. My dad was stuck at work and we were at my grandparents' house. We enjoyed it but I don't think my mom did.
