*is back home, in Ohio, enjoying time with family on this Labor Day.
-
Breakfast for dinner is one of my favorite things--especially on my birthday.
Fireworks, as seen from my Russian Hill neighborhood on Lombard Street in San Francisco, July 4, during the 250th anniversary celebration.
*is at home, in Ohio, with her mom where they just watched the Belmont Stakes on TV. Congrats to Golden Tempo
, Commandment
, and Renegade
, who ran an exciting race @ Saratoga, despite a little
moving the race time up a little.
After a little research, we decided to have Steak & Frites for dinner, just like they do at Morrisey's at Saratoga Racecourse.
As an awesome ACME agent, I can find anything. This will be good for dessert.
*is at home, in Ohio, making a pitcher of non-alcoholic Mint
Juleps
and a pot of Burgoo stew
(a stew with beef, chicken, pork, and vegetables) to eat with her mom, when they watch the Kentucky Derby
on TV
later.
Hey, Julie, today is Pinocchio Day as I recalled from the first episode of WOEICS? [The Stolen Smile] there was Pinocchio while searching for the biggest nose then again, it's not famous liars but a lion which turns out to be the Great Sphinx in Egypt except Carmen wasn't even there she was in Spain stealing a nose from a Pablo Picasso painting.
*has been up early this
to put
and
on the graves of family, in the cemetery, wearing her winter
due to
and
and ready for
during the Veterans Day parade, at home in Ohio.*
*is heading to the oldest church in San Francisco-- Mission Dolores Basilica
-- for the All Saints Day
evening service
. *
*is handing out small bags of
to
visiting ACME HQ today. Later, Julie will have a
,
and a of her own.
I didn't know it's your birthday, today, sorry about that. *A guidebook to the Galapagos Islands on Julie's desk* -

Lucy:
Was just thinking, when someone says think outside the box....why does it have to be a box? Why can't it be anything you want? Like a closet? Or a door? Hehe -
Lucy:
Okay this might need to become a topic....here's one step further..."Why are we assuming thinking has an “inside” and an “outside” at all?"
-
Lucy:
Why did we decide creativity requires escaping from something? Why do so many of our metaphors for creativity imply that ordinary thinking is a restriction?
-
Victorique:
It's because it hinges on the idea that everyone wants to be ordinary (aka "normal") and that being anything other should be punishable socially. It stems from imperial modes of thinking that harm people not white-cis-straight-abled-perisex-etc because the idea of normal is centred on "some guy"-isms -

Lucy:
Unrelated question....are political questions allowed? Also really confused why people keep calling the U.S. a democracy when we are supposed to be a Republic....
-
Deric Storm:
Define "political questions". Also, we are a constitutional Republic with Democratically elected representation. I will argue until my dying day that the greatest thing the Founding Fathers created was the Electoral CollegeLucy said:
