“The quicker you are in attaching verbal or mental labels to things, people, or situations, the more shallow and lifeless your reality becomes, and the more deadened you become to reality.” ~Eckhart Tolle
This was posted by someone on a "Star Trek" fan page on Facebook. It comes from a Sherlock Holmes themed ep of the Star Trek: The Next Generation where Chief Engineer Geordi La Forge (LaVar Burton (also of "Reading Raninbow" fame) told the computer to come of with a villain capable of defeating android Data (Brent Spiner) and this is what happpened.)
But I thought all the writers here would appreciate it.
“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it.“ – Groucho Marx
"Flying high into the clear blue sky, has left your wings fragile, and now I can see those folded wings are making you feel tired. Don't try to force a smile for anybody else; but don't forget that it's okay to smile for yourself."
... I don't know if anyone cares. Honestly every time I finish something I think I should be proud of. It's lack of acknowledgement makes me feel I should have a problem with something other than caffeine because of the sorrow that happens . It's written, it's been proofed. ... It's getting posted later tonight.
