Plot Line B?

Please someone say if they've read a couple stories of the series that don't appear in this forum. The last few days I've been thinking about what happens next for plot line A. With that I think it helps to have read over at least part of Iron and Steel & Team Time Troubles. Otherwise some stuff might feel like it's coming from out of the blue. That second story has been touched on a little in Loaded Stone ( to be accurate the second time the character pairing of Zack & Finn comes up. Also a detail I hope isn't buried to people following what is happening ) . But that story it's self has roots back to Iron and Steel. The Carmen & Ivy short also is a side connection here but I know at least that has been read.

I kind of see this page of the story as the first to show it's CS inspiration not counting the minor mention of Ivy earlier or use of Zack here. It's having Zack say what was part of the plot formula which existed in the first cartoon ( of Carmen's ideas played out in parts to her thefts ). That idea really is used in the plot line as the gang attempts to deal with Finch and Bruce.

( Editing in: It just hit me I failed to mention about that beginning scene in '48 at ACME HQ in NYC. That scene was written to outline about three months before I started on drawing the pages for Loaded Stone. It got integrated into the plot but wasn't there for early draft writing. That's why I didn't think of it off the bat here. )

Thank you so much for asking Lucy! ?

I started on page 95 I'd say nearing an hour ago. Things have been really busy offline. Not something I've said before online anywhere, but I'm about to move. The lot rent fee goes up next month, so I have to move to another RV park.

While page 96 looms on the horizon for returning attention to plot line A. I need to look into a cultural detail I'm unsure if it plays any role to modern usage for plot line C. I came in here just now hoping someone here might know the answer.

Has anyone started connecting dots together about what is happening in the story?

I finished this last night but I've been very busy offline. If people want, I have some comments in regards to this page and a little of what is about to happen. Just ask if you'd like to hear them.

*Gives @Everly a hug!*

Again this dates into content before the current story. At near the end of Devil's Blood I introduced an administrative access network to HAPPY named On-X. This is the first time it's been visually refenced. If you know what cartoon it's going off of minus a Google search, kudos to you. Team Time Troubles also introduced an access network meant for HAPPY employees who don't have administrative power. That is called EC-CO. EC-CO is again another cartoon refence I'm curious if people will catch minus Google.

I know for page 98 it sounds dark what is being implied to Zia but in different terms a similar idea, kid friendly was done in canon.

Editing in: I forgot to add, that poster in her cubicle dates back to Iron and Steel.

I think Lucy is the only person who saw this post in the chat box. I need to make another B&W short to help with the buffer on ComicFury. That's going to start right after I post page 99.

It's 11 pages long named "An Extravagantly Priced In Value Meal". ... I know Vocal Canvases has at least been read by two people. ... This story which is truncated to make it short, touches on a little of ACME's history, brought up in Vocal Canvases. It also brings up a villain from witwics? for the first time.

Hello Systemcat.

I'm so glad you are doing well enough, despite your health problems to keep drawing and posting on here.

I know that all the writers on here appreciate ?, ❤, etc, Views ? and especially Comments. I'm so glad you have been getting some good feedback from some other people as well.

I do like this story and and storyline, and I hope that you will keep up with it.

I was doing well keeping up with it, because I'm trying to finish a story I am writing on here, that I am literally writing on this site, because at the time I had run out of paper, or was having some kind of printer problem, so I posted it on here, and I was able to work on it the past few days.

But in the last 2 days, due to my bad time management, I haven't been on, so I have have fallen behind on my reading on here. That is all. (The story is in in Character Journals, and is called "A Sweet Surprise" and it is about Julie's personal life; which up until now, I've only really talked about in statues. The only reason I've got over 300 Views ? for that particular story is because I wrote it on the site; and the Views ? go up as I get closer to finishing it).

As far as mentioning your writings on this site, in chat, yeah, that is a good idea. I've been on this site for the last 7 years; and back then, the only area we had for "chat" was Neutral Grounds (also sometimes called the Shoutbox). Back then, one of the primary uses of the Shoutbox was for people to announce a new story they had posted--and also for Chase, Carmen, Sophie, and some of more international members to have some interesting chats in the late-night/early morning hours. But in about 2018, Chase did a major "update" and made some minor, yet significant, changes to to the site. People who hadn't posted in a long time started posting again--and a lot of new people joined--and suddenly Chat became a lot more "chatty." And other rooms were added after that.

So, if you want to mention a new story you've posted--do it in Neutral Grounds--because that chat is seen and used by everyone the site. Keep in mind, though, that because chat is more active these days the best time to post a comment about a new story is at some odd time of day, when there is a "break" in the conversation--when noone is talking.

So, please keep doing what you're doing--and even if you don't get all the comments you would like, don't let that discourage you. What you do is well-liked. ?

((OOC: So, I am still here (at least, while ACP is still a thing, then I have to tether my phone to my laptop, send it's internet to Ethernet to my router and setup my other laptop to access that... I managed it once totally by accident)... updating stuff I'm working on is not a fun process (if anyone checks my stories folder on my Google Drive) anymore... the laptop at my desk is old (Core 2 Duo, 2Ghz, 4 gigs RAM, Win7 Ultimate)... Chrome won't update, Drive won't work... I'm stuck using FreeFileSync to keep stuff up to datep things synced. I have plans of getting a job and having money to have something better (a doorstop is better)

[continuing] I'm sorry if any of my posts are/could be inflammatory or anything... some of them are stuff I've had in the pipeline for a while, and I messed with it enough to get it postable... that's why there are dates showing when I started working on stuff... I'm not, and never have been, trying to step on anyone's toes or say "this is how it should be"... I have no say here, not sure who does these days (like I posted... maybe this is a test to see if we devolve into chaos). Posts like Hierarchy were started long ago, and meant as a guideline and not because I'm the voice of Sauron.

[continuing] I don't have the time to be here a whole lot, I don't have much beyond mom to help with my rent (and once I have a job, that'll take up more time, though I will keep working on stuff (both for here and not) as often as possible, and post when possible on here. I have a question that needs some clarification... being that we are supposed to get permission from the person if we use their character in an addition/story/post, how would that apply if the character is core to the universe (like Carmen... I can replace @Chase, maybe cobble someone into @Ivy's place... but, like @Carmen, being that she's a major character, as long as I don't have her acting or write a major part for her, would that circumvent the rule at all?

[continuing] I'm just curious... the absence of the major's leaves a gap that I'm not sure what to do with anything... we (the Left Behind) could do a story together (or some stories separate), and that'd be cool, but without being able to use any major's, I'm not sure where to take anything. And, yeah... you can probably guess what my typing is like here (or anyplace else)... I type here or in Word, I type something (or notepad), and 15-20+ seconds later it shows up, so I have to stay on top of my grammar and spelling. I have to keep on top of all that, because I'm working on the big Carmen story at the same time, so I can't slip off my game.))

@Jon Eckart Not exactly sure if I understand all your computer probs. I hope you get those resolved soon. Yes, I have many probs with my basic Google Chrome, too. I think it's fair to say we all have a love/hate relationship with technology. 😆 As far as your stories are concerned, you can use any cannon character you like, whether there is a person playing that role on here or not. Say the story is a fanfiction; and that the version of Chase, or Carmen (or whoever) from the computer games, gameshow (or whatever). We don't do Netflix Carmen, mostly because of the violence. And because it is fanfiction, you can also create other characters and situations to suit your story. Now, Chase, Carme, Ivy (or whoever) were here, of course, you would ask their permission; tell them your idea; and if they like it they might write it with you. 🙂

@Jon Eckart Now, if you for a friendship with someone on--and off-site, you might form a partnership with them, and write stories together (like Chase and Carmen; or Chase and Ivy; or Lucy and I) and then you will just put a statement saying that this story is a co-write with whoever. In fact, if you collaborate with this person a lot, people will just assume they have your permission; although you should always say it anyway, just as a common courtesy. In fact, ironically, the only people whose permission you must always ask to use their characters are "original" characters, who are creations of their individual writers (which most of us on here, are) specifically because we are not cannon. I hope that makes sense. 🙂

@Jon Eckart Now, if you want to write something, but don't have a lot of time, I would suggest posting a status; or replying to someone else's status. Or you could start a guessing game. Look under Forums/Guessing Games, and look at some things other people have done, to give you ideas. I hope that helps. 🙂
