fwiw, i'm ... faithful, for lack of a better term (i'm not religious, exactly, and not a christian), and my belief has always been that if god loves us enough to have created us, they love us enough to not send us to hell.
I go to church, mostly because it's quality time with my mother. Problem is, not everyone is the same "live and let live" catholic my mother is. I get agita over the act that the church has been in a construction project for 3 years, followed by all the prayers about pro-life, anti sex-educaiton, and the like..
