what i will say, and then i'll shut up about tr (kidding, i'll never shut up about tr), is that woeics!carmen was an incredibly powerful rolemodel for me growing up, and while i wouldn't say lara is a rolemodel for me now, she is certainly an aspirational figure. someone i want to be like.
YES, this too, especially when you consider it was written for young kids. the recent interview with that one brøderbund exec (you've read it, @Morgan; i can link the rest of you) mentions that they intended woeics for younger kids and the pbs shows for tweens. which i find fascinating, as woeics is the one that's had emotional resonance and staying power for so many of us. the pbs shows are just popcorn tv, for me.
Update on the Louvre Robbery: there are four more being arrested today, unfortunately there's no trace of the jewels being found since October 19th according to BBC News.
