I think the oldest book I have is from (I think) early 1910's, Indian Why Stories (first edition)

(My oldest I want to say is about 1870 I think a copy of Tennyson's poems)

(I do have a 1880 edition of water babes, and a lovey but sadly falling apart copy of at the back of the north wind)

That would be an interesting survey among writers... it seems like writers tend to have old books
