In my defense, I have welded on propane tanks. But I had removed the regulators and let them sit overnight to offgas.

My state has to take the tanks back or else people do stupid things.. Yes theres groups that take them

(Sadly one of our stores bottle return center did have an explosion, two were injured, they put in cans that were contaminated ()

There's always that one... this is true.

(Worst for me was when we had someone bring in a bunch of cans saturated in kerosene, the smell nearly made me vomit, and we had to clear out the room, shot down two machines, and took nearly 3 days to air out the contaminated bins)

(Honestly I am glad I recognized the smell, and they did not ignite, I was right behind them)
