The biggest one is a pseudo-doppler radio direction finder kit. The club asked me to get it up and running.

It's proving to be a gigantic pain. I committed violent atrocities with a soldering iron this evening, and didn't make much headway.

to be fair, I was pushing my equipment way too far. My skills are with small surface mount stuff, not brazing an antenna to a board.

Yeah. This kit was just the electronics. You have to assemble the switch board and antenna array yourself.

Did you know....the horns on the viking's helmets are a myth? The popular image of the "horned Viking" can be traced back to the 1870s. Costume designer Carl Emil Doepler created horned helmets for Richard Wagner’s opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen to enhance the characters' theatrical presence. (I BELIEVE in the Where in Time game, they tell us this too....)
