I'm currently dealing with a 'celebrity' who was sponsored by [Not-Porsche] but posted pictures taken with not one, but six Porsche cars over the past week. Person in question got a car from [Not-Porsche] and has always posted for them, but [not-porsche] owners want to cancel the contract and take the free car back immediately. Both sides acting like babies... I feel like I'm dealing more with human emotions than anything else at this point.

I can't imagine you dealt with anything but.

Competing-brand endorsement by influencers is a polarising issue. I wouldn't want to be in the midst of it.

The contract only required X number of posts in exchange for X months of all-inclusive free car usage. But the contract was also for X months and any images of other car brands during this time in their feed is a breach.

 

[Eugene]

Influencers has always been such a strange term to me. Naming roles as such seems so cynical somehow.

 

[Morgan]

'Influencer' will forever have a negative connotation to me.

 

[Eugene]

Well then it's plainly a breach of contract. Seems pretty open and shut to me.

Is this person also being paid as well as given the car, or is this only for bartering?

They're also being paid... and they're not yet 20 so... this is going to be a good life lesson.

I feel like for the past few months, I've been doing more HR than actual management.

Time to hire more people into the HR team.
