Joseph has always seen Carmen as being a lynchpin because her presence atop VILE keeps many greater threats at bay.
He foresees that her sudden removal will result in a bloody power struggle until VILE could once again exert its hold over these other threats again.
Joseph has always seen Patty as a likely candidate to succeed Carmen although recently Neb has made herself a contender to. Joseph sees himself serving an advisor role to whichever of the two ladies takes the throne when the day arrives.
(I felt that Joe's old backstory was too convoluted, and the sister thing didn't quite pan out like I'd hoped.
On reflection i decided that making Joe an orphan worked better with the personality and character that I'd had for him)
I think if Joe had joined ACME he would be one of the following:
A) a pretty good detective and also membwr of the famed 'Bunker Boys'
B) a former thief turned ACME informant/consultant and part-time trainer of new recruits
His views on Carmen wouldn't change though. He'd still hold an enormous amount of respect for her and enfage in friendly banter with her should they meet.
He'd still recognize her role and would be hesitant to actually arrest her.
His loyalties would however ultimately be with ACME.
How has Joe's thoughts on Carmen and everyone in VILE changed since Ultramarine so far? Does he feel his leader is more vulnerable, and/or does he feel everyone is more vulnerable than he first thought?
