(Jumping on the bandwagon here...)

About:
Emma was born May 31, 1992 to her parents, Andrew and Susan. Her parents divorced when she was very young, and she grew up with her father just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She never saw her mother after the divorce. Throughout her childhood, Emma's father often struggled to make ends meet; there were times when the electricity was cut off, or there was little food in the house. Gifts were either bought secondhand, or weren't given at all.

When she was 18, Emma enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania on scholarship and worked part-time at a local restaurant. After a year of working at the restaurant, she was quietly let go. Emma eventually graduated with her BS in Finance with a minor in Accounting.

Following her graduation, Emma began working with a local financial advising institution. When her coworkers began to comment on her extravagant purchases, Emma quietly handed in her resignation. Since then, she works as a freelance financial consultant.

At first, Emma comes off as a quiet but sweet young woman; nice, but overall forgettable. Once you get to know her, however, her cleverness truly begins to shine as well as a wicked sense of humor. She does have a habit of being overconfident, and she has a weakness for the finer things in life.

Which of these extravagant purchases was the first to attract unwanted attention?
It was my 25th birthday present to myself: a Bugatti Chiron. A bit of a splurge, but I couldn't help myself. I love fast cars and they're absolutely gorgeous.

How my coworkers found out about it was inexcusably stupid. It was the company Christmas party and I'd had a little more to drink than I should have. We got on the topic of vehicles and I let slip that I owned a Bugatti. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that there was no way someone on my salary could afford a car like that. I started making preparations for my departure from the company the next day.

Where are Emma's parents now?
I looked my mother up once when I was in high school. It seems she remarried someone in her social class. Who the hell cares.

My dad still lives outside Philadelphia but in a much nicer apartment that I pay for. I visit regularly, at least once a month, and we talk on the phone every couple days.

Does/did Emma cook her books by hand or digitally?
If I did cook any books, I would prefer paper to digital although that's not very common nowadays. Digital fingerprints can be harder to avoid and clean up, especially if you're not very familiar with the programs and tech used (or so I've heard). But digital records are better for remote hacking, which could be better for you if you have those skills...

Did Emma take her degree in accounting because she liked it or because she didn't have much of a choice? What was that decision like?

Money has always been a central part of my life. It just seemed natural to study it in university.

I actually started out as a business major. It was one of my professors, Dr. Biswas, who suggested that I might be happier focusing on finance rather than business and management. He once told me 'Those who can't succeed in finance, major in accounting, and those who can't succeed in accounting, major in business.' I went with his advice and switched my major to finance. I decided to get the minor in accounting to help diversify my knowledge set and appeal to hiring managers.

I just heard on the news they're going to have to remove the Sakura trees in Washington because of damage to a sea wall. They have to build a sea wall and replant new trees.

Okay wait. Only 158 of the 2,500 have to be taken down. They are also taking clippings from the cut down trees to propagate new ones

@Lucy ... don't know if you really want wolf spiders in your home... I'd go for jumping spiders, they can't bite... wolf spiders are the fast movers, and they can bite.

((Will lose my ACP internet towards the end of the month, unless anyone knows about it ending sooner. Trying to switch my Lifeline phone to a better provider that doesn't shut me off after four and a half gigs of data, nothing but failure so far and "call here" and "it's on their end" and the back and forth crap... in the morning, it's time to demand the supervisor and might even get to harsh language (after three days of that). I plan to use the Lifeline phone tethered as Internet source, share that to my own router... I've done it before (it's messy, and not 100% effective, but it works). ))

I have active Verizon through ACP, active Lifeline through Airtalk... is that somehow the issue? If anyone knows, please let me know before I tear someone a new one (ya know what I mean). After three days of this, and two days about a month ago, I'm ready to walk there with katana in hand.))
