The Conqueror Challenge

(I don't know if this is advertising but I got excited about it because it's along the lines of Carmen....)

I found this virtual challenge and it reminded me of Carmen Sandiego. Has anyone tried it?

Basically, you pick a real-world route (Route 66, the Great Wall of China, the Inca Trail, etc.) and then log your walking, running, treadmill miles, cycling, swimming, or other exercise. As you make progress, you move along a virtual map and unlock postcards and landmarks from the places you're "traveling" through.

The geography nerd in me absolutely loves this idea.

One of the things I always enjoyed about Carmen Sandiego was that sense of adventure and learning about different places around the world. This feels a little bit like bringing that experience into real life while also getting some exercise.

Apparently you can even do it entirely on a treadmill, which is great because Florida heat and thunderstorms are not always my friends.

I've never tried that challenge, but you're right, Lucy that virtual challenge reminds me of Carmen Sandiego going around the world, I imagine I did whenever I'm walking around anywhere but joining in get medal for the challenge is not my thing.
