Shalom Friends!
((As I am getting back to knowing all of you (and new people) I would like to also do an AMA. I have shortened my character background here and added points where Mikal has interacted with ACME and VILE, the long version is in my bio and an even longer version is in the wiki.))

[shortened/updated] Character Background:
Born in Tel Aviv, Mikal Darsha is your friendly neighbourhood agent for The Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations in Israel. He became affiliated with ACME through Chase Devineaux, a long time family friend, and later adoptive brother. After a joint mission with the Special Operations division of ACME, Mikal remains an informant for the private company. His first language is Modern Hebrew, and speaks proficient, though accented English. Mikal is the 5th son of an Israeli-Druze colonel and war hero. He has 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mikal made an appearance in the RPs: Blue Moon, Hiatus, Paradigm Shift, Auld Lang Syne and Seraphim.

Personality:
Growing up in a large military family, Mikal is very comfortable working in groups and under an authoritative chain of command. He never challenges orders, has a professional disposition, and is capable of handling stress extremely well. Adversely, he can seem a little too carefree--making light of very serious situations or executing missions with a sense of emotional disconnection--causing some to question his moral codes. Those that know him well understand that Mikal is honest to a flaw. He finds deception and acting difficult, and prefers to rely on his other physical skills. His naivety and bluntness can also make his conversational statements seem cruel, rude, or arrogant.

Where I want Mikal to go in future RPs:
((Mikal is secretly working towards joining ACME full time, though I am not sure if he knows this yet. He finds the people and environment there much better for his mental health. This also makes it easier for him to interact and join in future stories.))

Thank you for asking! Mikal does a variety of things for ACME. But mainly he seeks information from other governmental agencies and ACME allies that he thinks may be useful for ACME to know.

He does not really join in field missions except for that one time when Carmen stole ACME tower and they went to █████████ to make sure that ███████████████████ with Captain ███████ and the pilot ████████. That was fun.

I hear you like secrets... hiding things from yourself seems easy enough.

Your most challenging mission, and what did we learn from it?

In Blue Moon Masquerade, Mikal (using the alias Khalid Rifai) left immediately for Tunisia after speaking to @Chase. Shortly after in (2011) the country was in the midst of the Jasmine Rebellion, where President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali was forced out of office.

I started writing a journal entry on what he did there. In short, he was sent to stop a man who was going to create massive casualties among the protestors. While gathering information, Mikal found that the man was innocent, and was actually being framed. However, before he could relay such information, he found that another faction had already killed the target. The twisted outcome of events still counted as a completed mission. To prove that the man was dead to his superiors, Mikal took a photo with his cell phone that was described as grainy because we did not have advanced phone cameras at the time.

Near the end of the journal I wrote, "In the old days, eye witnesses were needed to identify people, and now within seconds a digital photo could be sent anywhere in the world… and soon, Mikal thought, someone was going to invent technology that made his job obsolete."

That sentence was written to portray Mikal's subconscious disenchantment with his line of work, it was more a 'wish' than a statement. This would be the most mentally challenging mission for Mikal thus far. It continued to bother him much later as conditions in the region first looked to be getting better, then much, much worse.

I would say, Mikal's inert sense that things would equalize in fairness was shaken, or that good intentions would have any impact on the outcome of fate. He became a bit more cautious and more protective of those he felt were close to him.

Mikal is the 5th son, of 7 children. He gets along with all of his siblings. But he is very competitive with his brothers (especially those whose ages are closer to him), and rather yielding to his sisters.

As a child his first 'enemy' was Dagan (3rd son) because Dagan is a jerk. There are many examples to support that fact. Dagan will drive your motorcycle too fast and crash it and never pay you back for repairs. Dagan will forget to do his laundry and put it in your pile. Dagan will drink all the juice and not go grocery shopping for more.

However when Mikal was fourteen his brother Tarek (4th son) dated the girl Mikal had a crush on. So actually Mikal likes Dagan more than he does Tarek.

Shalom, Khalid! Love that you're back! On murder and subterfuge, what was your most creative kill, was it under ACME? (ACME's covert operations count, or like, whatever name you guys "don't call" yourselves.)

((IRL: @Lucy2... You may have to just start a new account (if the system lets you)... we don't know who all has admin access, so 'password recover emails' might not get seen or dealt with. If you do, I'd suggest a new account, and a series of posts linking to the old account. Keep in mind, we're in Minnesota, so cold is a thing... if you wanna trade, we're open to place tickets! We can't really do anything until we hear from the appeal guy... anytime between the 19th and December 5th, so in theory move-out could be end of December (unless it gets here before the end of this month) or maybe they can stay... no idea. So, the other place door... that's what we'd have to fit everything through.))

((So... the latest is that the woman who reported the folks to the police, called the guy who handled the appeal (after we left the room) and told him that if he doesn't make sure to get the folks out of the building, she'd make things difficult for him. The property manager told ma a few days ago, and ma told me today. So, anyone know what that would be called? Coercing, bribery, influence peddling? Would that invalidate the eviction? This is Section 8 housing, so low-income housing. The appeal decision should in theory get here next week or maybe Friday, and they can appeal again, maybe this one would be in real court... don't know. I will advise the folks contact legal aid and see what they say.))

((Correction: the parents are caving, they are planning for the move ON January 1st, without waiting to hear what the appeal decision is, and not willing to fight it. I stormed out of their place tonight (punched the call button for the elevator... they may have heard it), because I know they could win the second appeal hands down (they don't want "more of the stress from all this", they would discuss shit when I went to the bathroom tonight). I reminded them they may not get the entertainment center through the door to the apartment, we probably will have to take the claw legs off the table for the first time ever, but they have their heart set on it. ))

They're set on a two bedroom apartment ($154 more than the current, at least), it's up to me if I want to move, they said. Once we leave this place (section 8/low-income housing, the waiting list is over 2 years), that's it... the building manager retires later 2025... she pulled a string to get me in here))

Did you know.....The original candy canes were straight sugar sticks that were often used to decorate Christmas trees. The first historical reference to the cane shape was in 1670, when the choirmaster at Cologne Cathedral in Germany bent the sugar sticks into the shape of a shepherd's staff. Candy canes remained white until the early 20th century when red stripes and peppermint flavor became popular.
