Poem for Chase


There you are, perched upon your chair.
Wonder what thoughts lie there.
At home, like a falcon in its nest.
This is the place, to take a rest.
Keen eyes, that see into the soul.
Wonder what, things you behold.
A hard exterior, hides a loyal gentle heart.
Life's fire burns within, eyes shooting sparks.
A friend for life, though hard to know.
Trust built up, carefully and slow.
Someone that, you can always look up to.
This very person, is you.
