Vic looked the guy over. The scent of menthol was interesting, it made him seem a little cleaner than most low lives Vic's expected to see. Then again even serial killers pop in a candy or two.

"You gotta empty all your pockets, ah?" Vic shrugged unabashed, "And you give all your comm devices to me. Ain't no one trust nobody these days." He got out of the car, leaving the door open behind him.

Hobbes gaped openly as Dragon and Vincent stepped out of the Buick.

"What are you doing?!" He demanded incredulously, struggling to keep his accent in check. "Are you both without the sense? Want my pockets empty? D'accord. Fine. But get back in the car, Anglophones. If I am getting caught tonight, it won't be with you freaks." Hobbes shot a pointed glance at the female. "Do not keep your eggs in one basket and all that English drivel."

Hobbes tore his gaze away from the pair and looked up the street anxiously, distractedly pulling pens, wrappers and receipts from his pant pockets.

"Merde!" He swore quietly. Hobbes didn't have his communicator on him. Good; he wouldn't be caught by Mr. Pinstripe and his frikky-kicky sidekick, Fangs. Bad; Nina couldn't track them. Very bad. This could wreck the entire plan. It would be a disaster. Treasonous, even.

A dim memory of tossing the device instinctively into the car's penny holder drifted through Hobbes' head. The ACME agent withered on the inside.

His keys were still in the vehicle ignition, though. He had intended to keep chatting brief with the suspects and driving after them again soon after. But what if they wanted him in their car?

Hobbes finished emptying the garbage from his pockets and turned them inside-out. "Vite, vite." He said anxiously, throwing a glance back the way they came. "Question me. Ask me anything you want. Just hurry before the police on patrol come around."

Dragon glared as the man that had pulled them over spoke. She sniffed at the air again.

The wind had shifted... and Hobbes scent was coming through more clearly now. The second human scent, that was fading away, on Hobbes could only mean one thing.

Someone else was in that car.

Her attention moved away from Hobbes and over to his car. Glancing between the two once she then started towards the still running K-car.

"Who else is in your car human?" She partly growled out as she continued to take steps towards the other car. The human was already thrown from her appearance, let's see if she couldn't turn that shock into fear.

Vic's grin was stationary while he watched this guy empty his pockets. Half listening to Dragon, he knew she probably had the right to do a whole lotta damage.

"She's like a bloodhound, ah?" Vic pointed a thumb at the girl while still facing the blond guy, in a way explaining her behavior.

"Do what yer want, Tike, I'm a interested in what kind a senses we're out of." He was mocking the guy, like he usually does to people when he's on a lucky streak. As far as Vic knew, Carmen's not careless enough to let some Joe walk into a heist midway, and Vic was in communication with her Vileness earlier today. He was going to let Dragon do what she does best before he made any more decisions on this fella.

[My apologies for the delay between posts, folks. The holidays are upon me.]

Hobbes gave Dragon a mildly guilty look. "The officer that was chasing you ... he is not doing so much anymore. For the next day or so, nothing except keeping my floor mat warm. I was ordered to tie up loose ends, Anglophone. So I did." He shrugged. "If you want to see a Montreal police officer doing what they do best, which is nothing, go ahead. Do it quickly, though. I haven't had time to properly deal with him and there are patrols on this road every hour or so."

Hobbes looked down both ends of the road anxiously before setting his gaze on Vic. "You are Vincent Fumagalli, then? Vic la Slick? You must forgive my own misgivings, monsieur. Before tonight, I believed you were nothing but an urban legend. A Robin Hood of modern folklore."

(OOC: Gotten permission for this. And well done Hobbes, indeed the holidays are upon everyone.)

Now Dragon couldn't tell if Hobbes was lying or not, but she did decide to take him up on his offer to look in on the police officer. Looking in she saw just what Hobbes had said... but wait a minute. She glanced over at Hobbes.

This car had come in far too soon and from the wrong direction of that other car. Maybe he had nabbed the cop... but there where was that other car? Ugh too many questions; no answers. Turning her attention back to the car, wait a second. Was that? Something shiny caught her eye from the center... holder thing. (OOC: the penny holder, Dragon doesn't know what a penny holder is though.) Maybe some loose change, but something wasn't right here. This didn't add up. Her instincts were yelling at Dragon, telling her something wasn't right here.

Looking again, her eyes narrowing she realized two things. The first was that the cop wasn't even tied up, and the second was that the car was still running.

Leaving a cop in your car that isn't bound with it still running? That made zero sense, and this guy said that she and Vic had none? No. While his story made sense even she knew that you didn't leave someone that was considered the enemy untied in a running car. The chance that they might wake up was there, and she could tell the officer wasn't dead. The subtle rise and fall of his chest was enough to confirm this.

Alright, well then again the guy did say he hadn't had the time to- oh come on! The cop still had his equipment! Even if Hobbes hadn't the time to deal with the cop right the officer should have at least been disarmed and bound with something! That takes a minute at most, even for a rough binding, if anything a tie or a shirt would suffice, hell a belt would work too! No, these signs made Dragon doubt what Hobbes was saying. There were too many loose ends for this to have been such a job... specially if Hobbes claimed to have taken out the person who had been chasing them in the other car.

"You said we had no sense... but you left an untied officer in your running car. I may not know much about the city, but that is a stupid move human."

Barring her fangs with a deep growl she slammed her hands against the car door, her claws embedded in the partly rusted metal, and then with another growl of effort she pulled her arms back and literally took the door off. Dumping it on the ground beside her she leaned in to look further into the car. Dragon wanted to know what the shiny thing in the circular holder was, this guy was either an insane newbie, someone she didn't think Alpha would send to help them, granted the fact that Dragon was new to the V.I.L.E. game it did not make sense to send another newbie to help at the same time, but this guy... Something was just off about this human and Dragon was determined to figure out what that was.

The K car squealed in protest as Dragon tore at the driver door, but the metal gave easily. Potmarks on the frame bleeding rust burst into flakes, the color and texture of shredded autumn leaves.

From the floor on the passenger side, Officer Laurent gaped at the opening with dumb bemusement.

Hobbes frowned as Dragon tore the door off his car. The old beater probably wouldn't be traveling further than a Quebec wrecker after this assignment. Shaking his head, the ACME agent trotted over beside Dragon, hoping the rust-infested husk of his vehicle had a little venomous bite of tetanus for Madame Canine. A little nip of lock-jaw would probably make her think twice before taking on an innocent automotive again.

"Careful, madame." Hobbes said calmly to Dragon, quailing on the inside. "As I said, I have not had time to properly deal with our friend. A sudden shock could ruin him."

Edging around Dragon, Hobbes leaned into the gaping hole of his vehicle and tentatively placed a hand on Officer Laurent. Muttering something incomprehensible, the ACME agent snapped his fingers. The police officer gave a hoarse "D'accord," in response.

Using Hobbes' hand as support, the officer shakily stumbled out of the vehicle and blinked drunkenly.

"Meet Officer Julius Bonaparte, mon amis." Hobbes' face stretched into a wicked grin not unlike that of a child who has a magnifying glass and a yard full of anthills to fry. "Officier Bonaparte, salutez madame Canine!"

Laurent turned to Dragon and saluted with a touch of two fingers to the lip of his hat. He stared past her, face expressionless.

"I think," Hobbes said to Vic and Dragon, "We should be properly introduced. I am François Robespierre, hypnotist and most-wanted criminal in the French-speaking world. Montreal is my land. The only authority here works for me, now. And whether or not you two believe I've been hired as your aide, my reward for success from the red-headed dame outweighs the potential dangers of your suspicion.

"If you drive away from here without me and my puppet," Hobbes placed a hand on Laurent's shoulder. The officer was still giving his rigid salute. "You two will go the way of Bonnie and Clyde. Accept me. I am here to help."

The walkie-talkie on Laurent's belt exploded in a burst of transmission. All units were being cautioned of the presence of assailants in a late model Buick. Suspects were armed and dangerous.

Officer Laurent remained stiff at attention. Hobbes' tie fluttered in the wintry breeze. Time was passing. The police were coming. Agent West was coming. ACME was still in play.

Whatever sly grin was on this 'François Robespierre's' face, the same was starting to replicate on Vic's. He cocked his neck towards the passenger seat, "Get in the car, Robespierre, and do it fast." The play was convincing, but ultimately, Vic couldn't buy it. Carmen had never hired anyone mid-heist. Carmen doesn't like hostages either, but Vic was wondering just how far this guy would go to keep up his act.

"D," he said to his partner, "put that cop in our trunk. Then you sit at the back." Dragon was in the best position to watch this guy.

Getting into the Buick himself, Vic shut the door, popping the trunk of the car for D. "No need to make sure he's that comfy, ah?"

"What?!" Hobbes cried in shock. "No, no, no. No hostage, Monsieur Fumagalli. No one's going in the trunk. That's crazy. We need him in the car. Having him pop out of the trunk and say, 'Everything is fine, officers. Carry on,' would look a lot worse than if he was sitting with us.

"Put him in the back with Madame Canine." Hobbes suggested, clapping blank-faced Officer Laurent on the shoulder.

Hobbes hoped Agent West was still following them. Or near. Or about to ambush the two crooks. Forget about where Bonnie and Clyde were going; these perps were definitely the suspects ACME was looking for and they'd been out of the car for over ten minutes sizing up Hobbes. They had no right to still be walking freely. No. Right.

They're waiting, Hobbes thought to himself. Backup must be waiting until we're all in the Buick, then our modern-day Bonnie and Clyde will pull their little land-yacht around the next corner and BAM! Right into a police barricade.

Hobbes envision the ambush already. Two Montreal cruisers with their jackpot lights flashing that heavenly blue. Officers waiting, grim, tense, ready. Riot gear. Yes, Bonnie and Clyde were back. And this sequel would end much like the original, Hobbes was sure.

So sure.

In the meanwhile, Nina had amassed a small team of 8 or so police officers from surrounding areas. They decided to do a road block on both ends of the highway where the Buick was last seen, but when too much time passed by without any kind of signal, Nin figured they had to do something else. Each road block had 4 officers, the new plan was to move them in from both sides towards the middle where the suspects would be apprehended.

Four police cars, two from each side, made their way very fast to Agent Hobbes's current location without sirens or lights. When they were closer, Nina could see from the night vision camera that Hobbes was talking to Vic while the female suspect that Nina thought had fangs was with Hobbes's officer friend... the car door was ripped? What?

"In position," the officer driving next to Nina confirmed with the other three squad cars. Nina's first team blocked the front of the Buick, while her second team blocked the back of the K-Car.

"Vic Fumigalli!" Nina said loudly, "You're surrounded, come with us peacefully and maybe this will stay local."

[OOC: Ooo, you guys, this is so far really good! I love reading the tension *lol* Dragon has permission to move around the squad cars if you need to. Do whatever in PG-13. Thanks!!]

(OOC: Nina... If this wasn't the internet I'd be hugging the life out of you. Oh man I am going to have SO MUCH FUN! with this next post. Hehehe Dragon is pissed now. As a side note, I figured that each car holds 2 police officers, as they usually do around here.))

Dragon heard Vic and Hobbes talking. She ignored most of it but she did look to Vic when she was asked to place the officer in the trunk. Glancing back she noticed the communicator, but had no idea what it was, all she knew is that a dot was moving closer to the center of the screen, she heard tires. Ignoring them for the moment, her attention was on this little electrical device, she moved to grab it when she heard something that set a fury within her blood.

"Vic Fumigalli!" Nina said loudly, "You're surrounded, come with us peacefully and maybe this will stay local."

Surrounded!? Dragon barred her fangs, so now her bottom canines were showing as well, as she loosed a deep, threatening growl from her throat. She quickly moved away from the K-car and looked both ways. Cops... she knew it!

Fury turned to rage as Dragon snarled at Hobbes and the officer beside him. "You..." She literally growled out as she advanced on the human, claws at the ready.

Then decided against it, no, Vic needed to get away now. Punishing this human would get them no where. Glancing back at the car she and Vic had arrived in she took note of the direction. Then she glanced behind her... both ways, surrounded. Then her blood went cold with realization.

They were going to put her in prison.

A bestial roar, a sound one could relate to a large flesh eating dinosaur, cut through the winter night air as it tore from her vocal cords, her feral side starting to take over. Not enough for Dragon to become completely mindless, to kill, but more then enough to make her scare the life out of a human and put them in the hospital.

First she had to deal with the cop that she was closest to. Grabbing the saluting officer by the neck she threw him angrily towards the cars behind them where he landed she didn't care, though she did hear a thud that sounded like he'd landed none to softly on the pavement. Taking off in a run, Dragon jumped and landed with a hood denting bang on one of the cop cars in the Buick's way.

Slamming a clawed hand against the windshield, it shattered, she reached in and grabbed the cop that was driving and threw him out onto the damaged K-car, he landed hard on the hood. The second cop, that had been in the passenger seat of the car, had bailed and was reaching for his baton to subdue Dragon when she lunged at him, snarling she tackling him to the ground, which knocked him out from the force and the blow to his head, she picked him up and threw him into the glass of the car right beside the one she'd damaged. The glass cracked badly under the impact but luckily, or unluckily for the cop, his body had landed more on the hood then the glass, saving it from shattering and making him land on the fragments. He'd be feeling that whenever he woke up.

Growling, her brain idly made note of the fact that with all the people around, medical attention would be easier to come by. Least it would come by far more quickly. That didn't mean she'd cease being non-lethal, but it did mean she could be a bit rougher. Though no blood had been spilled, now she wasn't nearly as hesitant to do so. Hearing the doors in front of her open she threw her hands behind her onto the pavement and whipped her feet around slamming the door that was opening near her right back into place cracking the glass, jamming the door shut, and giving the cop coming out of it a good bang to his side.

Pushing off the ground with her hands she got back to her feet, planting a clawed hand on the dented hood of the empty cop car she vaulted over and landed in a crouch, quickly spinning on the balls of her feet she grabbed onto the car from underneath the door and started to lift. Achingly the front of the car rose about an inch off the ground, but that was enough she started moving back all but dragging the car with her, moving it just enough that the Buick would be able to squeeze between the two cars blocking it's path, but not without trading paint.

Letting the car fall back she panted, moving cars was tiring, but she'd moved heavier so this wasn't an issue, it just wasn't fun.

"VIC! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERRRE!" Her growled voice caught on the r and carried it slightly. Turning to the officers, who by now were out of the cars, she snarled, fangs fully barred. "I'll deal with the humans."

Her voice seemed to snap the surrounding people out of their trance, she could almost read their minds through their eyes. 'Had this girl just moved a car?' Yes I did, she mentally growled back. Vaulting over the car again she lunged for the officer nearest her and slammed a clawed hand into his side, luckily for him the uniform protected him from her claws, though they did shred the fabric in a noticeable animal-claw-slash like way, but it did nothing to soften the force of the blow which sent him sprawling as she knocked him down, stealing his baton in the process.

Standing up and growling deeply she threw the baton at the next closest cop and grinned a touch when it slammed painfully, Dragon swore she heard something crack, probably his nose, into his head, knocking his hat off and sending him falling backwards to the ground. He'd have one hell of a bruise tomorrow and he was down and out from this fight.

That was all four cops on this side, plus the one that had been near Hobbes in the beginning, lifting the unconscious human from between the two cop cars, from where the Buick was supposed to drive through, out of the way, she stole his baton, she threw him to join one of his fallen comrades on the hood of the damaged K-car.

She advanced in the other direction, tossing the stolen weapon to her left hand as a predatory growl reverberated within her throat. No way was she being put in a cage. Not tonight.

(OOC: Timeline for Canada is a little faster than main Luxe to compensate travel time. Carmen approved the info below. We'll meet up with you Luxembourg guys about after your little action sequence ah?)

First, Vic watched the cops arrive, and then he watched the girl go crazy. He couldn't see everything, but the noise was enough to tell him he needed to get out of the place. When Dragon cleared the way for him, Vic did the only logical thing he could conceive, which was to high tail. The trunk of his car was still opened, and it gaped and closed like a laughing maniac as Buick bounced away in the highway. He needed a new vehicle, something faster, and then he needed to get to a safe meeting spot with Dragon. Wait a minute, that tike went insane on those coppers, how was he sure she wouldn't go insane on VILE? He would have to report to Carmen, but just as he thought about her, the lady called.

The driver grabbed his phone quickly, almost dropping it as he nervously steered through unfamiliar roads.

"This ain't secure, ah? I'm too close to the city," he said in one breath.

"It's fine," Carmen's cooling voice was a stark contrast to the jittery conman's, "Luxembourg. I'm 4 hours away."

She hung up and Vic looked at his phone, the conversation lasted only 7 seconds. He figured she's made up her mind about the destination kind of last minute. She was on her way from San Francisco to meet Eartha in Luxembourg for reasons only she knew. Now he was thinking if he should head there without the new kid and just tell Carmen things didn't work out. The salesman looked at his Timax watch, by the time he made it to Luxembourg, it'd be evening over there.

Slick pulled his Buick over near a junk yard and started going on foot to a place where he could maybe buy some plane tickets and get a new ride. By this time, he'd decided Dragon saved him in her own crazy way, and the least he could do was wait at the meeting point to see if she'd ever show up.

Candy canes remained white until the early 20th century when red stripes and peppermint flavor became popular.
