In my defense, I'm also the kind of reader where if a story doesn't captivate me from the first page, I stop reading. Therefore, it is essential that the first few paragraphs are nearly flawless))
@Claire Yeon Hmm, not sure what advice to give. Normally the process for writing for me is smooth.?@Tenchi Masaki Be clever, that's what I try to do. Back to @Claire Yeon ,er SP has a slow start, you might not like it.
So far, the only thing I haven't changed about my first chapter is the opening sentence: "Fifty feet from the helicopter, a rush of lightheadedness caused Claire Yeon to sway."))
@systemcat but you also present your work in comic format, which is a different ballgame entirely. A "slow start" is more palatable if there are other appealing aspects to it, and that's often a matter of opinion anyway. Art, period, is subjective.))
Update on the Louvre Robbery: there are four more being arrested today, unfortunately there's no trace of the jewels being found since October 19th according to BBC News.
You know, there was a question from one of my fb pages I follow that asked, if time travel were possible what event would you visit in history and change. My response was that I'd stop or make sure Hitler were never born. And then I began thinking about it. And thought....how would that change ACME? Would we still be Anerican and international? Would we still have The united nations and NATO?
