That’s what I was comparing them to but then I remembered how the antikythera mechanism was found and scientist didn’t want to accept “ancient man” could build it and I thought to myself thats was so easy for them it’s mechanical understanding being put to use and there were probably many more or similar ones like it

Yes, but the Antikythera mechanism was done using only hand-calculated math to figure it all out (as far as the scans have shown, at least)

yeah They had to have a better understanding mentally speaking since they couldn’t rely on computers
