I'm not even really sure about that @Lucy, because the boom of American manufacturing is something of a myth, really only existed because of major european lock-outs during the second world war. If there's a country that's really capitalizingo n war manufacturing, it's China
@Ken U Belevitt blackwater though. and that one cheney had ties to that i've forgotten the name of. it's less about manufacturers and more about defense contractors.
So smaller nations like Sri Lanka and Laos, and many many others owe so much money to China that they can't pay back. They give back infrastructures to China, yes.
@Jacqueline Hyde That's just it though: scandals like Blackwater don't put money in the government's pockets, that money gets filtered directly into private industry
It's been gradually slowing for years... the theory has to do with the aging of the galaxy... it's not that we build tall stuff or heavy stuff (those have no impact on that).

Update on the Louvre Robbery: there are four more being arrested today, unfortunately there's no trace of the jewels being found since October 19th according to BBC News.
