i KNOW they are harmless but they scare the crap out of me anyway

(Well the bigger ones tend to sound like small birds when in flight)

(However IO moth catterpillars, like saddle back, and monkey slug ones have stinging hairs, you cant pet them)

it comes from the house i grew up in... absolutely nothing was square, so in the summer moths would get in through the crack between the bottom of the window and the top of the screen and fly around my ceiling making noise
