It seems to me that the prepper philosophy is all about being prepared in the event of any emergency, and the prevailing issue here is that you're concerned that if there is an emergency, you wouldn't be prepared in the same way as someone who has that philosophy.

the whole pretext to conspiracies is that they're often fabricated because people are in need of explanations where they can't find anything to 'get a grip' on.
