@Charlet there is honor among the thieves. For my part, my allegiance with VILE stems primarily from my sense of self-preservation. I would not go so far as to call myself a good person, even before I threw my lot in with a known crime syndicate, but there are certainly lines I would not cross, and VILE's view of those lines is consistent with mine.
