mm now that i bring it up, i guess ms. frizzle fits in the same mold of "smart, powerful, cool." but she was harder to relate to because she was a teacher, so explicitly an authority figure to the kids on the show, whereas carmen treated the kids (z&i, player, other detectives) as peers
