What happened to Phoenix, Chase?
OOC for this:
Phoenix (in my case) is a Gyrfalcon. Prices for one can fetch close to $300,000 USD in Qatar. So, long story short, the bird was a loan from a friend. She had to be released, eventually.
It started in Yemen, (with a case handled by Ashraq,
Mikal's brother) and friendship with an Emirati falconer. Some time after that case, Chase discovered a love for falconry, or really, a certain gyrfalcon.
Phoenix came into Chase's care for about three years. As part of rehabilitation, she was released each year after molting. The first year, she returned to his glove only three days later. The second year, she returned after twelve days. (Should be noted that birds returning are rare, but does happen.) The third year, she did not return. Chase waited around for about three weeks before heading back to San Fracisco. It is assumed that she is now wild.
