In Patty's mind, during the last part of her hallucinations, she felt forgiveness and "hated it." What, then, would Patty feel is the appropriate reaction to her unannounced excursion from VILE?
In our universe, the character of Carmen is hard to read. She's super easy to talk to, but so hard to dissect. She's always got a response or an answer to ALL the questions, and then deflects anything deeper like a pro. Patty is looking for an emotional connection, still.
She's hoping for anger or some kind of impassioned response, from Carmen. Because it's honestly what she would understand as love, given her experiences. The fact that Carmen went straight to forgiveness is signature of her as a person, but completely throws Patty's more needy side in a loop.
But that's what growing up is for, so Patts is going to learn how right Carmen was to just move on. Chase was already talking her ear off in Kerala about adulting and making decisions and blah blah blah
