Wow, reading this VILE history is really interesting. I have two questions. First, who came up with the name VILE? And second, is there anything that Carmen and Adrianna disagreed on that almost caused a break in the organization?
One of my most prized possessions is a clay model of Venus and Adonis by Antonio Canova, created in 1787. It features the goddess Venus clutching tightly to her dead Adonis. It's very much different from the happy standing marble statues that was the end result of Canova's studies. The clay itself is falling apart, and even has the artist's thumb print.
It meant little to me as a child when I first saw it, but as I grew older the raw emotion portrayed by these two 'blobs of clay' caught my attention. Venus grips her lover from behind, her entire body supporting his lean. The artist clearly wanted to convey her pain. Adonis himself is of course dead and reclines, seemingly without worldly care.
The statue is no longer in my private collection but is on loan to a museum through a holding company. I thought it was best, as a museum would expertly keep the clay from degrading further.

Yes, well, we never called ourselves VILE until some ACME Agent with a knack for anagrams wrote down 'Villains International League of Evil (V.I.L.E.)' into to the form after @Vic Fumigalli's first arrest. Vincent had refused to give a name and law enforcement with their silly forms always needed to label something.
As for your second question, the answer is yes. Like sisters, we have fought. She's very logical and I am rather emotional. But of the two of us, she is the stubborn one. Like a moth, she consistently is drawn to a flame and that is where we differ. I prefer to have my own private garden, with my own little controlled flames to play with. @Carmen needs to have elements she cannot control. I'm sure you can understand how difficult it can be to keep her out of the risks she creates. The break in this organisation is bound to happen if we are leaderless, which is something I hope she keeps in mind.
I've only had one true love, a pair of diamond chandelier earrings that once belonged to CIA Spy Grace Kelly...
Oh you mean husbands? One on paper, of course. but I do have strings of noncommittal relationships that are almost like marriages.
Oh please! You don't expect me to believe a Hollywood actress like Grace Kelly would agree to spend the rest of her life with a fat man and a casino. Back then, Monte Carlo was nothing.
I don't have siblings, darling. We're the sort of family that if I had siblings, I'd know about them, and exactly how much inheritance I'd have to share.
((So... my Facebook got password hacked, and the recovery options aren't working. And, over the last two days, haven't slept more than half an hour total, despite my trazodone. Had like 6 beers tonight, have a couple left, will take a full pill tonight, and hope to sleep. And, finished the application for the new place, probably will have to help the folks tomorrow.))
Did you know.....The original candy canes were straight sugar sticks that were often used to decorate Christmas trees. The first historical reference to the cane shape was in 1670, when the choirmaster at Cologne Cathedral in Germany bent the sugar sticks into the shape of a shepherd's staff. Candy canes remained white until the early 20th century when red stripes and peppermint flavor became popular.
((So... the folks called me upstairs to help figure out how to get their SSI paperwork to the new landlord... we were discussing it, when the landlord emailed that all three of us are denied... mostly the main thing was "poor rental history; insufficient income (they're on SSI); no credit file; if no judgment was rendered on them after they appealed the initial eviction notice, then they gave their 30 days notice, can they rescind that (this is Minnesota, ya shure, ya betcha) and stay?
Michelangelo wrote a poem about how much he hated painting the Sistine Chapel...One translation of the poem he sent to his friend begins: I’ve already grown a goiter from this torture, hunched up here like a cat in Lombardy(or anywhere else where the stagnant water’s poison).
Something just dawned on me. You know how we went from two digit years to four digit years because of the Y2K bug? In like 9K years we'll have to go to 5 digit years to combat the problem again
