Who taught you to play the piano?
A neighbor, Amy Ito, was a piano teacher. Because I couldn't really play outside with other kids, and she didn't like her kids playing outside, she'd help my mother watch me. I learned the piano from the age of 4, and basically took lessons for the next 10 years or so. I remember visiting her a few summers back, still severely impressed with her talent. Watching her small hands glide across those keys, hitting those octave jumps -- incredible.

What happened to Phoenix, Chase?
OOC for this:
Phoenix (in my case) is a Gyrfalcon. Prices for one can fetch close to $300,000 USD in Qatar. So, long story short, the bird was a loan from a friend. She had to be released, eventually.

It started in Yemen, (with a case handled by Ashraq, Mikal's brother) and friendship with an Emirati falconer. Some time after that case, Chase discovered a love for falconry, or really, a certain gyrfalcon.

Phoenix came into Chase's care for about three years. As part of rehabilitation, she was released each year after molting. The first year, she returned to his glove only three days later. The second year, she returned after twelve days. (Should be noted that birds returning are rare, but does happen.) The third year, she did not return. Chase waited around for about three weeks before heading back to San Fracisco. It is assumed that she is now wild.

Sir, honest question: With everything you've experienced, all the 21+, would you instantly forget all of them for the memory of one?

I can't think of anyone 'fictional' I'd like to meet... but if we're going on technically non-existing people, then...

Back in 1985, three deep-cover agents (CIA/MI6) executed by the KGB. No one knows yet who gave away their cover, I wouldn't mind finding out either. Come to think of it... maybe @Seldavia would be interested.

one of the GOOD spiders you want around because they eat all the really bad bugs in the house. We put them outside :)

@Lucy ... don't know if you really want wolf spiders in your home... I'd go for jumping spiders, they can't bite... wolf spiders are the fast movers, and they can bite.

((Will lose my ACP internet towards the end of the month, unless anyone knows about it ending sooner. Trying to switch my Lifeline phone to a better provider that doesn't shut me off after four and a half gigs of data, nothing but failure so far and "call here" and "it's on their end" and the back and forth crap... in the morning, it's time to demand the supervisor and might even get to harsh language (after three days of that). I plan to use the Lifeline phone tethered as Internet source, share that to my own router... I've done it before (it's messy, and not 100% effective, but it works). ))

((The 'net is the main way to apply for jobs now, so I need that, and I've moved/changed Lifeline providers before without an issue, so no idea what the problem is. I have active Verizon through ACP, active Lifeline through Airtalk... is that somehow the issue? If anyone knows, please let me know before I tear someone a new one (ya know what I mean). After three days of this, and two days about a month ago, I'm ready to walk there with katana in hand.))
