Between mentioning The Mummy Returns and Sinbad legend of the Seven Seas. You're prompting me making a DVD viewing list of movies I haven't seen in a while I should sit down to again.

I don't remember ACME Fax-Net. I'm sure when watching the show in it's original run I saw the gameshow bring it up but the memory is lost on me now. ?
I remember it now. ?

It’s totally fine I included it because I wanted to cover the “Convenient travel device trope” to allow travel to different locales since the Trans-Siberian trip is a week to two weeklong trip at best if your going back to Moscow by train when it’s over. And it suddenly popped into my head since I didn’t want to be obvious and use the C-5 since I’m working the site RP of it being “Out of order” into my Carmen lore. It’s making it easier to write in new travel tech for ACME.

I hope you don't mind other AUs bringing up the convenient travel device trope?☹

Of course not Its one of my favorites since it lets you go to places that would normally be too far away. I did it in this story more as a joke to myself. Tropes are perfectly fine with me this was something I realized I could do in the story which would still keep them from going anywhere as there aren’t a lot of public phones in service.

I played out the fight scenes in my head and could see them drawn as well. Carmens family and her necklace are from the Woeics and the games respectively. I simply expanded on the story of them both when I decided to give Carmen a family mystery to solve.

I went over chapters 21-24 today.

This is something I failed to asked earlier forgetting to do so. I know smart glasses are out there however the sci fi way you've written them. Was that influenced from Spider-Man: Far from Home?

Also yes, I know in story there was a game comment. But was for fact the musical children and sheep from a video game? Because it felt like that.

Well actually they’re more inspired by Shion Uzuki’s nano-glasses from Xenosaga Episode 1 and 2(love that game series). Essentially nanotechnology is highly advanced and can construct anything at the molecular level. Shions glasses are just the bridge she places on her nose but when she taps the bridge it builds her frame and lenses in seconds whenever she needs her glasses to see with binocular vision or record lab data. She can then take them off like regular glasses if she wants to.

The sheep and kids are referencing legend of Zelda mini games where you have to chase Cucoos or play music notes at certain points.

I thought of Zelda with the music part but not the chasing chickens part. I just see the chicken chasing bit as non-essential in the game. Just something you do to see their reaction. ( Correction I mean attacking the chickens. ... yes, I know you aren't supposed to do that. Which Zelda game has you chasing them? )

The latest grouping gone over is chapters 25-28.

This is something I started thinking about going through the set before these chapters. But thinking something might already exist in the respect I was thinking ... yeah, I failed to notice the TECS Wiki grouping. I am surprised your character doesn't have a page on it. But going back to why bring up the TECS Wiki, if it isn't there already. You have a lot of information to share for people to get more acquainted with this AU.

I have to say I'm really enjoying the story twists you're bringing up. Your imagination comes across to me as a wild kaleidoscope of a Saturday morning cartoon-fest with a CS fandom focus. ??

Sigh those chapters are touchy for me. I had a error in my word app and even though I saved multiple ways and into different storage sites, it refused to load the original text. So I had to rewrite from memory starting with the last paragraph of chapter 25 with the Baron up to chapter 27. Only the three paragraphs at the end of ch. 27 did I start writing to progress the story again. Though they turned out well the wording isn’t the same and it took me a few days to accept that.

I would have posted my page on TECS but it’s posted here and I keep putting it off since they’re the same info we have on our profile page. *BOOM!* That and lab equipment at ACME keeps exploding for some reason…

Writing this story I had ideas come pouring in and decided to incorporate them into a seamless whole… Okay maybe Polly and Ann asked to be in the story too. But as the story kept growing I had fun tying all the elements together.

I went over chapters 29-32 this evening.

There are moments I'm very curious about the references I'm sure I'm missing. Like for example I'm sure the gum powers bit came from something. Although the paint covering one. Ok, I've never played this but based from what little I know of it. Did you grab inspiration off Spaltoon?

Did you know....the horns on the viking's helmets are a myth? The popular image of the "horned Viking" can be traced back to the 1870s. Costume designer Carl Emil Doepler created horned helmets for Richard Wagner’s opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen to enhance the characters' theatrical presence. (I BELIEVE in the Where in Time game, they tell us this too....)
