Hesitation

[Invader]

Hesitation: Pause before saying or doing something, especially through uncertainty


Sometimes breaking the ice takes a while, you want to jump off that cliff and fly. However you still wont make that jump just yet. Sooner or later one has to make that jump, you can't stay grounded forever.


"Go on say hello, it is not that hard." Her inner voice encourages.
"I would rather be locked in the grey room." Invader hisses back.
"I can assure you they wont hurt you, nor are they out to get you." It Offers.
"Why is this so hard?" She groans. "All I need to to is walk up and say hello."
"Too late now!" The voice remarks sharply. "They are no longer here."
"I am just expecting..." Invader trails off.
"What exactly are you expecting?" The voice demands. "What you experienced in the past is no prediction of future outcomes!"
"We go though this every night, I am ready to make that leap...." Sighs invader.
"But you always back down at the last moment." It Retorts.
"Do you think I don't know that!" Invader hisses.
"So EXACTLY what are you going to do about it?" Her inner voice offers.
"I ...just ....need some ...time." Invader trails off.
"It is always just one more reason, you can't make that leap just yet." It Scornfully remarks.
"I want to, very badly" Invader Replies.
"You really need to make that jump, or you will never get anywhere!" It commands.
"I certainly have gotten somewhere, sense we arrived here." Invader remarks.
"That is not what I mean, YOU of all people should know that!" The voice growls.
"Fine we will make that jump! , Just you watch!" Invader Snaps back.
"So GO FORTH AND MAKE THAT JUMP!" It demands. "What are you so afraid of?"
"I am afraid of falling." She whispers.

Hello Jade. Yes, Invader is a great storyteller. I think of an idea of what I want to write about, and then go on the internet, and look up facts/details for my story, and when I have it all worked out, I actually write it all out, on paper. And sometimes, I do have to make a few changes along the way. It takes more time to do it that way, but I have to. Sometimes, I have probs with my short-term memory, and if I don't do that, I will totally forget the perfect word or phrase I just came up with!! I also really suck at typing, so it helps things go a little bit faster if I have something to look at as I type, instead of jut sitting and making it up as I'm typing it!! It took me 2 hrs. to type that Journal entry I wrote!! Now that comment that I wrote on the "Dress For Success" thread didn't take that long, cuz I just copied some of the info from my Profile Info, and the description of my ACME uniform was based on info I already had right in front of me, for the next Journal entry I am working on. I'm sure the next story you write will be great, too, and I look forward to reading it!!
