Hello, some important news out today... I'm currently following the Brexit march and Thailand's first general election since the military coup in 2014.

Also, Norwegian cruise Viking Sky makes it to port after it began sinking Saturday.

Does that happen often? The sinking I mean? Mom has always considered going on one, someday.

It was mostly due to engine failure, no hull breach, so cruises are generally safe. Your mom should enjoy one sometime, @Julie Justice. It's a great way for seniors to travel.

OK, good to know. Thanks. But my mom is the kind who would not like the word "senior" used to describe her. Ha, ha, ha, ha.

@Julie Justice, in that case, tell her not to go on cruises, it's full of old people.

OK, then. But, I won't tell her how I originally found that out.

I actually think (and this is only personal opinion) cruises are some of the worst ways to see the world. You only have a little time docked at any one location, and you spend most of your time travelling in a secluded bubble.
