How a government works really depends on how the people work. Even down to family units.

If your family depends only on one member of the family to make decisions, how do you expect your community and even your country to be democratic?

That's something being taught now, within pockets of parliament.

It's been that way for ltierally decades. I come from a Democratic family, but my old man still gets on the soapbox about things like head of the household, two sexes that we can tell....once was laid out on the couch watching voyager.....said Captain Janeway was a B-

I've always had a democratic family, we voted on decisions since I could remember. We did, of course, also debated and argued with passion over several topics before reaching a vote. But there was always a vote.

That's cute, I was an only child, so I never voted on anything. But my parents did ask "What do you think?" a lot.

I don't mean cute in a patronizing way. I can really imagine that voting thing and it's adorable.

the one thing WE have to take away from this is that....we were all raised differently, but we all still manaed to end up in about the same place.

at least in terms of old pop culture edutainment franchises
