haha, my mom's old boss, the parish priest, referred to seagulls as rats with wings

Considering how the earlier remarks about rats were generally positive, I am not certain that "rats with wings" is meant as a bad thing

Can't hate on pigeons just because they thrive under us instead of being wiped out

(I actually support a pigeon rescue and have saved a few myself. Such smart, gentle creatures.)
