we all gossiped about it at my work today. it's not often that higher ed gossip and celeb gossip overlap. nor is it often that higher ed twitter, youtube twitter, and sitcom twitter all have meltdowns over the same scandal.

This is, sadly, a common occurrence worldwide. I was a translator between a couple (high-ranking foreign government officials) and the head of a prestigious primary school when the mother said to me: "Can you tell the head that if he needs help with anything, we would be happy to donate?"

The price of admission, it seems, was approximately 100,000 UK Pounds. I'm told that's somewhat 'low' by certain standards.

that's the thing, making donations to get your kids into a given college has always been a thing, but apparently doing it by buying them a spot on the crew team or cheating on the sat is a crime, apparently.
