I once trained my betta fish to 'jump' and eat from my hand. It was white. I left for work oneday, came back, and he'd jumped out of his bowl while I wasn't there. It was sad.
I've always had this incessant need to train things... I thought it was my fault. But someone told me later that it was normal for bettas to somehow jump out. Common enough occurrence.
