At the moment, I'm going to say we'll see manned orbit missions around 2030 or so, with landings following soon after.

I saw a rather exciting concept for manned exploration of Venus. It made a rather compelling case.

I'm trying to find the talk where one of the project leads was making his case, but no luck so far.

His case boiled down to the fact that Venus gravity is (I think) 0.9G, and there are points in the Venusian atmosphere that would nominally be at standard temperature and pressure.
