which is great news for my line of work in terms of people appreciating the need for our expertise, but pretty terrible news in literally every other way.

a few years ago when i heard people say things like that, i was like, well, that's an exaggeration. now... it's not!

to be fair, the issue with telling truthful headlines/"news" stories from fictional ones is not only how wild current politics are, but also the rise of clickbait.

it's a lot harder to spot the difference between the onion and buzzfeed than it was to spot the difference between the onion and, say, salon.

Mm, I agree, I've noted that negative headlines are much more prevalent as well.
