I read that the ID system in Estonia really helped with governing. One scan at the hospital tells all the staff what they need to know about you.

@Eugene same concept, but more stretched out horizontally, and i don't think it has as many vertical bands.

i'd be less concerned about the tax info and more concerned (extremely concerned) about the health info. for the reasons @Invader previously elucidated.
